Absolutely not.

WhatsApp is ranked as the most used mobile messenger app in the world. More than 596.6 million messages are sent each day on WhatsApp. More than 596.6 million voice messages are sent daily on WhatsApp.
My bad. That’s the MacOS version.

All lenses supported.
0.5x, 1x, 2x and 5x
It was confusing for it to say 3x then. That seemed weird, or maybe it was just an example focal length from an older camera.

What was the point? You couldn’t literally take a good picture with it. You would have to your normal camera app to take it and then share it via WhatsApp. So annoying.

I mean that's how I usually handle photos. Photos taken from the native camera app are always the best whether iOS or Android. But if they're going to offer an in app camera version IMO it should make sense to have the same focal length options as the native camera (not sure if Apple has APIs for this exposed for developers).

WhatsApp is one of those very popular products and services with which Apple doesn't want to compete for some reason. Just like with Microsoft Office, Apple offers an underwhelming, seldom-updated alternative, and that's it. As if they were thinking "Forget it, we can never catch up. It's a lost cause."

All I ask is that you can add new contacts using the desktop version. Everyone I know uses WhatsApp for business. If I need to add a contact, I hate having to dig out my cellphone.
