Most people seem fine with the current design, therefor I think the only redesigns we will see will be to address any current issues and also maybe some slimming as hard drives and processors get smaller and more efficent.

Magnetic latch, a third USB port, and newer rubber feet (like those on the MB, which are kind of "built-in" compared to the existing MBP design) would be nice.

There has been patents showing up that depict wider/touchscreen track pads or something like that. Maybe that will make it into future interations of Macbooks...

I agree with the built in eSATA. Further to that any extra FW/USB ports are a always a bonus.

I think the current design is fine... I don't really have a problem with the latch either. I think the keyboard on the MBP's are perfect (I don't really like the feel of them on the macbooks)

The only thing I could think of is a CF/SD/XD/etc... reader. Although I can get a usb-express card reader I think it would be more convenient to have everything built in as I don't like carrying bunch of things with me.

Also maybe a fingerprint reader and bluray/hd-dvd player would be nice :)

I would like to see, extra USB, magnetic latch, user replaceable hard drive and multi-touch trackpad (iphone like zooming etc.). The two finger scrolling and right click trackpad is good, I wonder if they can implement true multi-touch with softwar (or does it have to be hardware?).
All in all I think the MBP is a great design, the only changes would be hardware related, cosmetically its stood the test of time.

the macbook pro is a design classic, its similar to a mini or a technics 1210 record deck. there's ont need to drastically change anything, as said before, small incermental improvements are the way forward. why fix somthing that aint broken?
