I know Apple likes to keep things under wraps, but when is the next press meet scheduled for?

Anyone care to take a swing in the dark regarding the pending release date of the next gen iphone?

I think it’ll be announced at WWDC on Monday, June 28 and shipping with 30 days.

However, I do expect an iPhone OS 4.0 SDK event within the next few months to preview the next software update.

I am dying for a new rumor. Seems like its been months since the iPad has taken over all the coverage.

We haven't had an analyst 68.5% chance of a VZW iPhone, no blurry pics, no shots of a bezel. Really a huge let down.

This typically happens in March...the 4.0 even will be next week.

From what I have heard, the next iPhone is due late April. But following the pattern of the last couple of years, I think it would be released mid or late June this year.

I do hope that it comes out soon.

I don’t know if it will happen in March this year because of the iPad.

Perhaps, but I'm guessing Tuesday or Thursday of next week. Regardless, Apple needs to start releasing Betas of 4.0 to developers. If they start late, then chances are we will have a buggy 4.0. I'll rather see six or seven betas of 4.0 before it is released in June/July.

The new iphone will be released in July, the same month my Verizon contract runs out. What are the odds of that?

Uhh... 1 in 12...?

1 in 24?... 2 year contract ;)

There's a 1 in 24 chance from now that it ends the same date as the iPhone being released?

The new iPhone gets released in June or July every year. His contract ends in July. He has a 1 in 2 chance of hitting the correct month. Since the release order has been June-July-June so far, and the WWDC is June 28th to July 2nd, it makes sense the next one will be July. That gives him a 1 in 1 chance of ending his VZW contract when the new iPhone comes out.

And if you're gonna count the whole two years, then 1 in 24 is wrong. There would have been two iPhones released in those two years, or 2 in 24, 1 in 12.

To answer the OP's question: the WWDC is scheduled for June 28th to July 2nd, and the last two new models have been announced there. It will most likely be announced then, and released July 9th or 16th.
