When is next iPhone announcement?

Perhaps, but I'm guessing Tuesday or Thursday of next week. Regardless, Apple needs to start releasing Betas of 4.0 to developers. If they start late, then chances are we will have a buggy 4.0. I'll rather see six or seven betas of 4.0 before it is released in June/July.

They won't start releasing 4.0 beta to developers until after it's announced. Otherwise, their feature lists would leak and they can't have that.

I agree with jaw.
4.0 has been in the wild for over a month now. My bet is that after 3.0's less than stellar launch, they'll have as many people working long days on it as possible to limit the need for beta releases to the typical 4.
