iPod When is the new iPod earbuds coming out?

Jesus I've held off buying headphones far too long now waiting for these to come out. Come on Apple freaking hell.

just use the ones that came with your ipod or buy something else. there's plenty of other options!
you could always look at it this way, before Apple announced there were new ones coming what were you going to do? were they "dead to you" then? <rolls eyes skyward>
no wonder they now feel they have to announce when there will be no new products before xmas - it's to silence the whinging. (although it just gives people the ammunition to keep talking). a no win situation at best...

Why bother waiting for these headphones. I already have a set of Creative EP-630 and Sennheiser CX500 headphones that work great with my 3G iPod nano.

Apple better release these earphones later today. Been a week overdue from what Jobs said. iPhone and stuff related to it usually comes out on Fridays so I hope this is it!
Was planning to buy Ultimate Ears with remote for my iPhone when Stevie announced those. I decided to wait and see how these two speakers iem's turn out. I can't wait forever though.
no i'm not missing the point... regardless of whether something is announced or not means very little in the real world. the new ipods were announced weeks ago yet very few stores here in Australia have the 16g nanos and even fewer in a good colour range. so should we jump up and down about it?
the headphones will come out shortly. or not. maybe they had a production issue or quality control stopped them.
wouldn't you rather listen to a pair before deciding you want/need them? specs are one thing but reality may be different.
i'm not defending apple. i'm a fairly recent convert from using PCs for years. not everything Apple do is perfect (firewire on laptops anyone???) but they do seem to come up with lots of better stuff than M$.
i hope you hear something about these new 'phones soon and when you buy them, i hope you like them...
I'm beginning to wonder did Apple have a change of heart about producing the new US$79 in-ear headphone.
Remember, Apple is entering a market that is dominated by Sony, Panasonic and JVC on the low end and Shure, Westone, and Etymotics Research on the high end (not to mention Sennnheiser across the price spectrum). Given the current economic situation, if production of the headphone has not started Apple could just cancel the project altogether and maybe offered users of iPods who registered their iPods with Apple a discount voucher for an in-ear headphone from a third-party manufacturer.

I doubt that if so they would have taken the page down and most things apple makes people are willing to buy especially if they see "Designed for iPod".

For me, the problem is that I am trying to find a quality, good sounding set of earbuds for the iPhone so I dont have to unplug my phones when I get a call. If all I needed was something for sound I would keep my bose earbuds.

man, as great as apple's laptops are compared to a pc, it's just really really lame that we have to even be buying headphones to do a voice recording.
I'm going to be buying an Mp3 player this week. Even if these headphones come out, why should I have to buy an extra component to do voice recording that's available on the $30 sansa clip?
