Spring 2009, up to 2.13 GHz Core 2 Duo, other component bumps.
I really like the look of the black bezel.
I've thought about taking the screen on my older Air apart and giving the bezel an airbrush of glossy black paint.
Sorry, no.
I'm pretty sure I'm right, we'll see. We may see them early summer instead of spring, it depends on when Intel speed bumps the SFF Penryns, and with what GHz.Sorry, I don't think there will be an update anytime soon either.
correct me if i'm wrong but in order to have that black bezel wouldnt they have to put a glass over the screen which would make the Air heavier? I dont think Apple is interested in making the Air heavier since the weight is one of its major selling points.

Since they were recently updated, as had been mentioned, I would not expect an update in the near future. Maybe around June?
I pray and hope they don't adopt the glassy black bezel.
It looks cheap. I like the current design.
With that said.
I hope they maybe get.
3gb ram
2.1ghz 6mb l2 cache at least.
Nvidia 9400m
256ssd
somehow include an ethernet port in the door panel.
I want to see an increase in ram and processor.
SL9600, set for April 2009. (Has the release date changed since then?) The PC Watch roadmap is a fairly old one.
Probably. Depends on Intel's CPU release schedule, supply, Apple schedules etc.Since they were recently updated, as had been mentioned, I would not expect an update in the near future. Maybe around June?

I also note that last year many people were saying that the MacBook Air would be updated in Q1 2009 instead of Q4 2008. Well what do you know...
I doubt it will change from 17 W, since it's another model in the SL lineup. In fact, I don't think the future 2.0 GHz CPU will use more heat than today's 1.87 GHz one.I haven't seen any TDP specs on it to see if it'll cancel out the thermal dissipation Apple made by switching to 45nm and lowering the 3 TDP from Rev A. They might be reluctant to use it if overheating becomes an issue again.
Although I'm sure there will be more updates than just a speed bump. Also, a computer that hasn't been updated for a while won't help sales either.Personally, I feel the worldwide economic downturn might slow a product refresh since a .2 GHz bump would cost more to implement
If the 2.0 GHz CPU moves the other ones down, Apple could choose to keep the 1.6 GHz on the low-end and so eat the cost to implement.since the base Air seems to be pegged at $1799.
