They kept arguing that it does not matter. Well, reading these forums some says i make a difference because iLife is not on the Leopard DVD. Is that true?
iLife comes with your Mac, although I’m not sure whether it’s a separate disc or on the Tiger disc.

If you upgrade it will not affect iLife. If you clean install (which will wipe iLife), just reinstall it from the disc in the box.

I chatted with a representative on Apple's website after came back from the launching party yesterday, and she said that all BTOs come with Leopard "PREINSTALLED" now.

I just called 1-800-MyApple and that's not what they told me: They said the same thing I heard in an Apple store: some iMac are preinstalled with Leopard some are not. There is no way to have guaranteed preinstallation at this time.

She told me that "BTOs" come with Leopard "Preinstalled", not sure about the machines we order from Apple's Online Shop with Factory Configurations. Did 1-800-MyApple tell you that even BTOs have a 50% chance of getting Leopard preinstalled?

Received my iMac

I ordered Monday Oct 28 my new iMac.
Fedex tracking shows that it shipped from California.
I Received it today Thursday. Leopard is not preloaded.
They have what they call the "drop in disc". It's installing now. Taking a bunch of time though.
