Maybe 9.2 final tomorrow, because of Apple Pay Canada launch or an incremental update? Who knows. :D

Seems like it's launching now because of that, otherwise it wouldn't be launching until sometime later. Seems like something earlier is better than nothing.

I received an email from Square Enix just now to not upgrade to iOS 9.2 due to the update breaking their software token application. What is interesting because in the email they stated the release of 9.2 to be on Nov. 16.

Sounds interesting. But how should a game publisher know that an update of a smartphone OS is being released on a certain day? Or have I missunderstood something?

Seems like an iOS update/release isn't necessary to expand or change Apple Pay support.
I just caught that as well.

Updates aren't required anymore (since the original launch in the US) for Apple Pay. Everything is now all in iOS and Apple just flips switches to turn on countries and your phone will know, see, have access.

Same as how the new News app works. Every phone has it. Except you can't see it or launch it until a "server switch is flipped" to turn it on for your region.

Thanks everybody that replied. I have decide to screw waiting because it's impossible to always have the newest iOS.

Does it matter when it's out? People are still not going to be content and be asking when 9.3 will be out.
