I don't think Dell make bad computers. I just think they're ugly. Thoughtless design couture is so 90s. Dell and a few other PC brands (Packard Bell I think off the top of my head) are just so thoughtless and unattractive in their designs?!

HP are very good machines and they do an ok job with their towers - those slimline ones they made are very nice and people really love them, but they don't make enough models of them.

And that example just surprises me that in todays world where aesthetics play such an important role in our interior design and furnishings, why do PCs continue to be made in the form of large plastic-y boxes. Even the Mac Pro is a well thought out tower!

I'd say kimnkk would agree with your point there. It's probably just people like Sun Baked who have that attitude that annoys him (and me).

I love the way Apples look compared to Dells. They really do put a lot more thought into aesthetics.

However in all my years of Dell laptops (i've had 3 over 6 years) i've had less problems than i've had with Apple's (3 over 2 years). So if people go around calling Dell's manure then maybe it's the good kind of fertilizer that helps things grow :)

Personally, I though it was Bill Gates that ran up behind Michael Dell and stuck the "kick me" sign on him.

If Wang hadn't gone bankrupt, we'd be treating them like the PC World's mime instead of Dell.

Until Wang Technologies becomes one of the big US PC makers again, I think most of us will use Dell instead for the jokes and one-liners.
