I haven't been able to use Apple Music fully because I have 40k songs and saving my library on iCloud still fails. I've read that Apple was going to change this to 100k songs. Does anyone know when? I thought this was going to happen with the release of iOS9 and the new iTunes. Didn't happen! At least my process still fails with an error!

Have you tried today? It was rejecting my attempts to update my cloud library all of last week due to song numbers and suddenly it seems to be working. Though i've been manually deleting dupes so that may be part of the reason. My library still has 43,000 songs though.

Interesting... just tried and it still doesn't work and I get this non-informative 4003 error! I don't have duplicates. I may have songs with the same title but different interpretation of them... and if this is what is causing the issue I'd be even more disappointed with Apple. Thanks for posting.

But has anyone heard of Apple officially changing the limit from 25k to 100k? This has been circulating as a possible
change with the new OS. I wonder if I have to wait for the official El Capitan. I'm running the El Capitan beta but with the new version of iTunes.

Can anyone verify they have more than 25,000 in iTunes Match now? Not working here, Exceeded Limit.

I wish Apple would tell me something about this 4001 error! I tried calling them and they said they can't give me any support because I'm running El Capitan Beta. So I'm waiting for the official release to call again. I'm paying for Apple Music so I expect to receive some support.

I've tried syncing last night and for me the nothing changed.

I actually just have iTunes match, but it's the same limitation and I just got the 25,000 song warning so apparently not working. So whatever...

This is honestly not a snarky remark but why are you already paying if the free trial ends on Sept 30 (assuming you signed at day one)?

I'm afraid the answer to the question asked by the OP is "too late". Same with Android app. Once the free trial runs out in 8 days, there is no way to convince me to pay 9.99 to try something that might work or not.

I seem to be on the 100k limit as well - I'm no longer getting the error that "New songs cannot be uploaded" because of the 25k limit, and iCloud Music Library has "stuck" on my server and seems to be in the process of uploading. I'm in the UK, currently have iTunes Match plus the 3-month Apple Music trial.

I'm still stuck on 25,000 limit. I hope that those reporting 100,000 limits are a harbinger...

Having said that three posts ago, I am getting error 18024 when I try to add Apple Music which seems to be an error because I'm at the 25k limit. So it seems that some functionality has been changed but it fully implemented yet. I can share my entire library across devices but can't add to it from Apple Music.

Still stuck at 25k. No mysterious 4001 error though! Got a clear alert box about the 25k limit. I'm on iTunes 12.3 on El Capitan 10.11.1 PB2, using iTunes Match and Apple Music. (Still having "Purchased" tracks labeled as "Matched," FWIW.) I'm in the U.S.

...and now I am getting the "cannot upload more songs because there is a 25,000 limit" again - let's hope they were doing some testing and it will be switched on properly soon. Without it, Apple Music is useless for me.

I dunno how much good that will do...

Apple music needs album, missing songs/duplicate tracks fixed up first...

No point in increasing something without first fixing up older stuff already there... it will just introduce more issues.

* you guys have heaps of music....

Buh bye AM, I barely knew ye. I hate to break up like this, over the Internet and all. It's not you, it's me.

But you know what? The 25k song limit chafes me. I've already got my full library loaded up on Amazon which works tolerably well when I want to access things on the road

I had really hoped AM would be feature complete during the trial. But since it still isn't and I have no way of testing it it suits my needs, I'm checking out (for now).

Has anyone gotten to the bottom of this issue. I've installed El Capitan and iTunes is updated version and still I am stuck at 25,000 limit. Thanks.
