Popped into cex today (in the uk) and got myself two 2nd gen apple wallets (forest green and orange). Not a mark on them, basically boxed as new. £40 for both.
Nice. How does it work with Find My using two wallets? Do both wallets have the same name in Find My? Obviously, only one is in use when attached but is the naming the same, i.e. 'Tim's Wallet'?Popped into cex today (in the uk) and got myself two 2nd gen apple wallets (forest green and orange). Very clever.Yep they have the same name In Find my but the wallet colour is show next to each so i know which is which.
I picked up an Umber off of eBay; it's legit came in the box, had the cardboard insert that comes in new wallets but it is associated with another Apple ID.
I’m going through something similar. I bought a pretty much brand new midnight from a guy on Mercari and it popped up “Not Your Wallet” when I attached it to my phone. I asked him to remove it from his find my and he said he did. Still showing up as “Not Your Wallet” So I get an annoying pop up every time I put it on the phone.Quoting myself. I got this wallet last Thursday or Friday, and was disappointed that it was tied to a different Apple ID. I get it; it was a return to Apple, and somehow, the eBay reseller ended up with it (they had more than 10 when I bought it).
Last night, I attached it to my phone, and this time, I was prompted to add it to Find My. Hmmm. It shows up under my Apple ID now.
All I can gather is...possibly...the original purchaser of the wallet received prompts that the wallet was detected, went into their Apple ID and removed the wallet, thereby freeing it up for me.
