Hello:

I'm sure the vast majority of folks got their MBA at the Apple store, but many of them are appearing on other sites (e.g., ebay) now. Curious, where did you purchase your MBA? I got mine (1.8GHz, 80GB HD) for a cheaper price than a brand new black macbook from the apple store hehehe :D

Apple Business Store on-line, as part of a lease package. (so, I'm sure I'll end up paying more than anybody!)

Custom order via my university bookstore on 2/1. I ordered a 1.6 with SSD. Supposed to ship by 2/25.

It is 2/25 today and I am waiting to see it ship (no mention of it being prepared yet. (I guess with an educator discount, they have less incentive, but the school is paying I wanted to save us on the sales tax as I am a professor and its a work computer). Foolish of me I guess....

I'm in almost exactly the same position - same order date, same estimated delivery date, same purchase route (Apple Edu). Only difference is that I ordered the 1.8/SSD.

If it gets pushed back to March sometime then I'm canceling the order. Having to wait over a month after shelling out ~2800USD when others are getting their machines within 2 weeks would be unacceptable.

UK readers should get theirs from John Lewis. They have stock, or did tonight anyway. The best bit is they offer a two year warranty for no extra cost.. so when that battery slows down in 2 years you can get it fixed! They offer excellent customer service (much better than apples) and they deliver next day.. very unlike apple! :)

They just updated mine to March 5-10. After waiting 4 weeks with "Ships April 25" listed. What the heck kind of order management do they have that they just don't know (or don't care as its an educational order). Odd thing is that my office is down the block from an Apple store. Went through school store to eliminate the sales tax as it is a school and not personal purchase.

Apple store about 3 wks ago. In and out in less than 10 minutes. The wife was at a different part of the mall. When we got home, she was so surprised that a laptop came out of the bag that I was toting around all day.

I had the same thing - march 6-11.

So I rang them and explained calmy and quietly that i was pretty furious, and they were apologetic and added on expedited shipping and a 'priority', but basically they had no clue what was going on

oddly, the superdrive i ordered too has been slipping back and back too - originally scheduled for feb 8, then feb 16, then feb 25, and as of today, march 5

This really is the last straw. One more delay of any kind and I cancel the whole thing and start filing complaints with BBB.

This is my first ever apple computer purchase, and its been a pretty ****** experience so far.
