It has always surprised me that Apple didn't come up with a clever place to store it. They even tried with the iMac which isn't even portable. Seems to me that you'd be more interested in a storage possibility on a portable machine. Maybe for future models...

I'm going to lose it - I can tell.

Well, if it's any comfort, I think I lost mine. Though my bedroom is a mess, so I'm sure it will turn up someday.

I used to keep it in my laptop bag, though I have no idea why I stopped that. Oh well, I never use it anyway, except when I'm doing a Keynote presentation for school. (which is hardly ever)

I'm not sure I can mention where I store mine :D

I'm not sure we want to know. ;)

Drat, no magnets on the MBP bezel that i've found.

I need a strong magnet - then i can stick it to the tabletop thing i have on the desk in front of me.

I actually USED it and hey - that is pretty cool! LOL!!!

In a drawer when i get home and in the laptop bag when i'm mobile. Its very handy for Keynote presentations as you can use it as a clicker and the menu button allows you to jump to different slide numbers. Amusing to see everyone go "wow" when i do this, instead of drifting back to mouse-click for yet another slide transition.

 Oops. I didn't notice that. On the main page, this post was simply listed under "Mac Hardware."

Well, you can always glue a long piece of string to the remote and glue the other end to the MacBook/MacBook Pro. :p

And on a side note, I keep mine on my night stand as I use Front Row and iTunes from bed. I really love the fact that you can put the Mac to sleep with that remote.... And, yes, I 've lost the remote for days at a time when it fell somewhere or got mixed up with my sheets.

How do you use the remote to put the computer to sleep?

Unopened in the box -- still haven't found a reason to use it..

Mike

The same here, I have NO reason to use it, I was going to download Ialertu just to try it and see what happens, but after watching the videos on youtube I was like so why should I bother, just so I can make some noise ?

I have a MacBook, and sometimes I stick mine on to the magnetic part of the display (like phidauex and Yaraher), otherwise it gets buried under all the crap on my desk that I need to clean off.

I actually use it quite a lot, both for music & films, and especially for presentations with Keynote.

After the first ten minutes, I realized I'd have to be obsessive/compulsive, and therefore keep it on the desk by the MB, or in the crumpler bag. If it's not in either place, I panic. :D

In the box, as I use my imacs remote for my 17" MBP. But would be nice if it fitted in expansion bay.

Next to the HT setup where I will occasionally look at photos and listen to itunes through the stereo.

If you really need to figure out where to store it - simply decide the spot where you're most likely/regularly going to use it and keep it close to that.
