Where is the Apple Music event?

That aged well. Seeing as Apple announced Lossless and Spatial Audio would come in June, why would people not thing that if 1 was said to be coming today, the other wouldn't? lol.
Been toying around with the options and a bit disappointed how they handled upgrading existing offline libraries:
When you play a song that‘s downloaded to your device it plays the „old“ version pre-Spatial and Lossless with no way to „upgrade“ the downloaded file. There is one popup that tells you that the file supports Dolby Atmos, but it requires deletion and re-downloading.
This means, for me, having to download thousands of songs again or upgrading eligible songs by hand… wish they‘d offer a few tweaks to make this easier:
- Smartly upgrade downloaded songs to fit your new audio settings (e.g. Dolby Atmos) when you play an eligible song and are on e.g. wifi (or allow cellular downloads)
- Add an indicator that signals you this is a song that needs upgrading (you now have to check album meta tags and which icons show below the playback progress bar in now playing)
- Offer a new context button option: „Upgrade to Atmos/Lossless“ so it‘s one click instead of delete > reopen context > download and also visibly signals that your offline cached song is not of the new type
