Radio may be considered "old fashioned" where you come from but over here it's still big. I'm sure many people in the UK would welcome a radio in the iPhone.
Oh, no. Over here everybody listens to radio when they are in the car etc., but I don't think it will be a feature from what they will say "Now in the iPhone 4G: radio!". I would welcome a radio in the iPhone, but it's just not that big of a deal anymore and I'm sure not many people will buy an iPhone just because radio is (going to be?) added.

We can Dream but this is Apple so it's unlikely they will do that even in firmware 101 if anything apple seems to getting stricter. and no reason for FM receiver when apps can feed thousands of stations from all over the world!
That's another problem. Enough apps for radio, but not for in the background (unless you use it via Safari, but that's not handy and than you can't surf the internet). So if they add a radio build-in in the iPod-app, than it can run on the background and you also can use Safari and other third party apps.

I was wondering the SAME thing, OP. Its been OVER 60 days...WTF, Apple, where's 3.2? There's still more you can add!

Wireless Syncing and combined inbox for emails would be much appreciated. THey could just have it as ALL instead of selecting the email account or in message settings just to combine inbox.
I would also like developers to be able to add to that inbox like on the blackberry. So messenger clients can go in your inbox when a message arrives like facebook, whatsapp, and beejive.

Would all be nice, but I bet none of those things will be in next update let alone the next Iphone.

I would like an option to turn off the landscape view. The app update bug is annoying. I don't have a sense of entitlement, I just greatly appreciate when Apple cares to improve the functionality of an existing product.

these threads are completely stupid

when 3.0 came out people whined about when 3.1 would come out

when 3.1 came out people whined about when 3.2 would come out

If anyone had any info on 3.2 it would have already been posted

You know what I would like to see, the voice control application get a few more features. I think it would be cool to say "Open Mail/Message Application, New e-mail/text, say your message, send to 'contact'" Or something along those lines. Would that be hard to implement? To control certain aspects of your phone through voice commands?

Yeah but… where is 3.2?

I've reached the point where I don't even care anymore about any iPhone OS update.

When Apple comes out with a good iPhone again, I may be able to buy one again and run the newest OS.

The iPhone 3G and 3GS are failures.

You're just trolling. The 3G and 3GS are far from being failures.

The iPhone 3G and 3GS are failures.

Failures? Is that why Apple is having a hard time meeting demand after almost six months of its release?

The 3Gs is still the best smart phone out there and has the right balance of features, speed, and design.

Define "failures". Never has a user name been so apt.

The biggest problem I have with the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS is the quality of the LCD screen. It's soooo difficult to get a good screen. I feel like I got lucky with my 4th iPhone 3G because the screen is perfect and I really do mean perfect.

The other problem I have is that each iPhone is built a little different. It seems like they all have their own build quality issues. If you don't have one type of issue, it's a different issue. I had to return 3 iPhone 3GS's and I was just tired of it.

No, I'm not trolling. I'm really speaking the truth here. I really hope Apple comes up with a way to more consistently build iPhone's correctly without creating sharp edges or light leaks or cracks or dust under the glass.

The 3GS is a nice phone software, processor and memory, but not really a durable phone.

I also hope they get rid of the shiny plastic. Sony got rid of their shine with the new slim PS3 and I'm pretty sure a lot of people are getting sick of every company maxing the shine out of all their tech stuff. In fact, I was at Staples the other day and almost every single computer was high-gloss all over except maybe one. I think matte looks and feels better. Plus, I hate fingerprints.

I'm glad I sanded my iPhone 3G. Now I have a nice matte iPhone 3G.

Well

Wunderadio found a way to play in the background without JB but I'm Jailbroken and I will stay that way until Apple lets me run stuff in the background. ;) I think I will be JB for a long time to come!

Yet... you're still here, knee deep in the discussion.

Yeah... you don't care at all.

OK Seriously what does any of this have to do with this thread ?

Someone on this forum said this before , but why do you continue to hide your thoughts as thinly veiled questions on this forum.. Go start a blog if you feel like you need the attention to your thoughts

Apple never intended to build a device that would meet the standards of someone with OCD.

(btw my iPhone has absolutely nothing wrong with it)

My $160 Nikes have a bit of glue on them where the shoe meets the bottom sole

My $4000 Plasma TV has video inputs in the front that wiggles

My $15000 car has a rattle somewhere in the door

You can see where I'm going with this.

I bet Apple's prolly saying lets not do another 3.x release, lets just pile everything up and plop up into 4.0. It could happen.

That is simply not true. The broadcom chipset in the 3GS does indeed include an FM transceiver; currently it's only used for the Nike+iPod functionality, but there is no reason it couldn't be used to enable radio functionality. There have been many seemingly credible rumors that a nano-like radio app is in the works.

What kind of crack are you smoking? The iphone 3GS does NOT have the Broadcom chipset you reference! If it did, it would have Wireless-N which would be AWESOME because I could finally disable G on my router at home and still be able to get wi-fi on my iphone!!!!! Fortunately, I recently moved to a condo complex with only 7 units, so my wi-fi works fine in mixed mode, whereas in my last building there were 30 routers, and in mixed mode it simply didn't stream HD video over the wireless!!!!

Feature I would like to see....

What about an option to hide all the apps Apple preinstalls...they already allow you to turn on and off the Nike+! Let us turn off the apps we don't use...notes, contacts...

The broadcom chip referenced is indeed the one installed...Apple has artificially limited the hardware to Wi-Fi A/B/G just like they artificially slow down the ARM Processor Speed!
