Almost exactly a year ago I'm doing exactly the same thing.

But out of choice this time... had an invite to a friends place, but didn't feel up to it. Just me here with my Rioja and paté... and you. :D

Happy New Year BV, well in about 5 minutes for you. I will be doing the same as you, byt since I'm 6 hours behind, I have that to look forward to. :(

And a Happy New Year to you too. :)

One minute and counting... the chimes of Big Ben are on the radio. The fireworks are going off outside in the dark.

The last year has been a strange and difficult one for me but I'll happily toast the new one in with all of you. :)

Well, a very happy new year to you Blue Velvet, and to all of you. It's been a quiet, but especially pleasant evening. Hope the new year is grand and prosperous for y'all.

xx

Thanks. :)

Oh, and another themed 'tar, animated as well.
Loving your work... :D

Didn't fancy fights and police this year (it was nothing to do with me!)  So I've had a quiet one. Sitting watching Jools on BBC2 @ full volume, me and Jack Daniels.

Cheers everyone, happy new year.

woohooo, Kaiser Chiefs! "Oh my god I can't believe it, I've never been this far away from home..." :D

Bah! I read your post, turned over to BBC2 all excited, and just caught Jools thanking them for their great performance!
I have to confess to being a sap, and lurving You're Beautiful (James Blunt), PLAYING NOW!

Not quite as rawking as The Chiefs, but good

edit: oh yeah, and KT Tunstall is the bees knees too :D

My girlfriend's a big fan of his, so I told her he was on – she turned over to BBC2 all excited, and just caught Jools thanking him for his great performance!

Bit of a pattern emerging here... :D

EDIT: Don't worry, we stayed tuned this time for KT.

my girlfriend is throwing a party, the theme is "CEOs and their corporate hoes", should be fun.

Haha.. sounds fun.
My friend is having a costume party and I'm coming as "tech support"

...I'm coming dressed normally.

Partaying with friends here in Chicago at my future brother-in-law's condo.

Should be a good time.

Happy New Year!

Haha you know a party will be good if it rhymes. :D

I personally will be hanging out at a local bar with some friends later tonight that are home from college, bringing in the new year together. Yay beer.

Me, I'm all comfy-cozy snuggled up in front of my iMac, having had a lovely special dinner and a chat on the phone with a friend.... After a busy and long day at work, it is so good to be off my feet and relaxing now!

I really don't like to go out on New Year's Eve: too many crazy drivers. Why endanger my life and my car?

At the stroke of midnight (Eastern Standard Time) I shall be in front of the telly watching the ball drop in Times Square (NYC), glass of Stella Artois (lovely beer) in hand, greeting 2006 and hoping that it is a better year for me than 2005 was.....

OTB

Well, I'm in yet another state for the New Year. I'm sitting here with a nice red wine, and watching the locals on the ABC broadcast. They switch to NY every now and again. First NYE I've been alone in 5 years, so this is a change for me.

Here's a Happy New Year to all of you, and I hope you have a prosperous and fun one. I also hope we all get brand new, shiny Intel Macs this year! ;)

Ragards,
Gus

Happy New Year to all, Don't know who watched but Dick Clark did not look well at all.

Louisville, Kentucky, attending a University Student Summit and having a blast. Happy New Year y Feliz y Próspero Año y Felicidad!

Turns out, me and two other kids (all of us run track) decided the party was boring, and ran downtown (4.5 miles each way) to the city's "First Night" celebration. Mind you, it was 26 degrees and snowing!

Proved to be much fun though. And a good workout.

I was at home, mostly listening to Howard Stern's Sirius channel, since at midnight, he was finally able to speak on satellite, and did.

Happy New Year!
I was at a party in town with all my friends, but NO fireworks.

I managed to compose my well partied/and spinning head (put it together) and post on MR for the New Year. yeah!11!

::bobs head::
:::goes to bed:::

I was going to say you guys were boring, but I guess not all of you. Now you're really going to get some dirty PM messages. I'm going out to karaoke with some porn stars, but if you are being serious, I think you still win.

(seriously, Porn Star Karaoke... look it up)

Some friends of mine live across the street from Sardos and would do Karaoke all the time. I hate Karaoke though.

I stayed in (as usual) and just did what I normally do on any given night.
