We have campus wide wifi, like most campuses I assume.
 
Surprised to say, I used it at the public space behind the Museum of Natural History today in NYC. I discovered there's a public wifi hotspot there. I hadn't really expected to use the iPad outside my home besides watching preloaded stuff like movies but the ease of surfing on it is so impressive, I don't know if I can return to my iPhone. It makes wonder if I should I waited for the 3G version. Oh well, no turning back, at least not without a 10% restocking fee.
 
Daily as a Road Salesman. I can look up customers files and place internet orders from anywhere. It will be a big help.
 
This. Since I am not blessed with a 3G capable phone, I have to wait it out for the 3G iPad. The only question becomes how to carry it with you all the time. :confused:

so the iphone can use tether without using a cable? i thought in order for iphone to use tether, you need to hook up a cable with the iphone.
