Here's another, hope you don't mind.

Pioneer Peak over Wasilla Lake in Wasilla, Alaska. Taken with a Canon SD790 IS. If I had taken this even two minutes later it would have looked no where near as good. Good thing I finished my pizza at Pizza Hut right when I did, eh?!
Also, the big dipper framed between two trees in my front yard. 11.5 minutes total time= 23*30 sec. frames combined.

Brainerd Lakes area. Deerwood Township. The lake in the picture is Serpent Lake.

Well, not as extravagant or beautyful as most other places to live but it does the trick and we do get the Northern lights.

Posted 2 pics, one of -30C which is fairly average for the north of the country and one of the midnight sun of the middle of the country of the 55000 or 187000 lakes (depending on the definition of Lake...)
