I agree and for me the same goes for the new CC. After using iOS 10 beta Since day one, anytime I see an image of iOS 9's CC or on someone else's phone I can't help but think of how crowded and cramped/cluttered the CC was.

Same reason I like that they separated the media controls in the new CC.

Did you see the post I was replying to and what this whole thread is about? I was referring to when there is a date and time visible as shown in the picture. Please apologise for your rude and false 'Wrong.'
Haha, I won't. And as many people has said there are widget for that and apple probably will include an own Clock widget. So your problem is that something isn't displayed as before in one of two instances. But you are arguing that it got completely removed and that is wrong.

Lol many people have said there's a widget for that? That was me, in this thread. I've been offering solutions not just moaning. In the very post you quoted I said that Apple might add t back. So never mind what my 'problem' is, you're moving the goalposts. I simply said that the time and date is only visible alongside widgets on the lock screen and you said I was wrong. It was a factual statement and you were wrong, deal with it.

So what were you commenting on as clearly it wasn't anything relevant to what the post you were quoting was talking about?

Interesting they took away the 'Today' pane in iOS but left it in macOS. So will macOS get on 'Proactive' screen? What about Control Center? Can they please give us that in macOS.

Pretty sure in iOS 9 the current date was here..am I now just limited to the stock app on the home screen?
Looks like it's back as of iOS 10 developer beta 4: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ios-10-beta-4-bug-fixes-and-changes.1985737/#post-23187186
