iGary,
Not to be a nitpicker (all though I admit it's a pastime), you misspelled 'cubic' as 'cuibic' on your QTVR page on the website. Just a heads-up.

Cheers

Edit: ooh, and don't forget to update your equipment list with your shiny new Quad :)

If it's not going to be more simplistic, I'd say go with the yellow and grey.

I don't think people really want simplicity anymore anyway. Look at the iPod ads now versus those a year ago. What a shame.

Actually, go with the yellow and grey no matter what.

Daniel.

No thanks, that's why I post stuff - :D

Sounds good to me. I like the website, by the way. As soon as I buy a megayacht and decide to flip it for a larger one, I'll give you a call. :D

Maybe you should give these folks a call, to see if they're looking to sell :)

It's from my thread this week on Marseilles photos.

OK - cards - and same logo themes....back and front (two sided cards) - thanks for all the great feedback so far....

Still prefer the top right compared with the new two. I prefer the arrows logo.

I dig the BoatView™ concept. We've got a lot of big yachts down here in SW Florida. I could use another source of income for my 360° biz - real estate is slowing down a bit... I may have to hit the pavement and shake hands with some boaters :D Maybe I should read up a bit so I can speak the language eh?

I honestly think it will do really well - I mean the only ads you ever see of boats are the outside, and no inside shots - at a minimum a flat pano would be great - especially for expensive new boats.

I'm drawing up a specific "leave behind piece" just for boat brokers and I hope to get at least one big brokerage signed up on a "freebie" trial to see how they like it first, and hope to drag others on board after.

We'll see!

I guess I thought of it because it's what I know - you know real estate, which I have no clue about. I wanted to try something where I have contacts and know the lingo. Same deal with you - you have real estate contacts - I don't.

And yeah, plenty of good brokerages there - at least I noticed a lot form the air last time I shot there.

Cheers. And thanks for the help!

You know what's really cool too? This company does aerial shots of real estate from an angle that's hard to get to from an aircraft - they use a RC helicopter and mount the camera on it!

They have some great shots in their portfolio. It allows them to get lower than an plane/copter but higher than the ground. :)

Sorry iGary, looking back I realise this is totally non-productive criticism

Not necessarily. Especially with logos, it's good to show them to someone who has no idea of the project (who would see it the way a client would see it) and check that there isn't something hidden in there that you haven't noticed. When you're designing something you see what it's meant to be, say two joined circles, whereas someone else might see a huge arse. If one of your clients also sees a huge arse, that ain't good. :D Hence, it's always useful to show your work to someone else and see what they get out of it.

On the business card comparison I like the yellow and grey front side with the arrow (upper right).

Erm... Is it supposed to look like a sewage outlet pipe going into the sea?

Sorry, but that is the first thing that springs to mind!
Frack, frack, frack .... now that you said that, the blue thing reminds me of a sewage outlet, and the grey circle with the arrows around it reminds me of a manhole cover.

I don't think I would've made that association without the sewage outlet comment, so I think the design is safe. :)

I was just giving you a hard time. :D

Thanks for looking - honestly.

I sent the one on the left to the printer.

oooh, i like! (sans typos of course, glad it was caught at this phase) the grey and yellow will look great on a business card. good choice.

Logos: I prefer the blue one, only because the yellow one is harder to read. A darker blue should look better, IMO.

Cards: I prefer the yellow/grey ones.
