I use exchange and I can't get any other of my folders to sync, just the inbox. I've tried everything.

I love android, but I miss a good exchange tasks app, and the iOS Mail app when using exchange.

Gmail

I have Yahoo and Hot mail auto-synced with GMail. I can then either look at each individual folder that houses Yahoo and Hot mail, or simple look at "All Mail" and view all my email at once, with a nice little tag next to each email telling me if it is from Gmail, Yahoo or Hot mail. The key is setting all your Google stuff up on a PC or Mac. Docs, Calendar, Mail, Wallet, etc all have their main settings there, not in the mobile apps.
First pic, is like iOS in that it shows your normal inbox, sent, drafts, etc, then at the bottom, show All labels. Next, you get screen 2 and as you can see you have the Inbox, the Priority Inbox (you know it as VIP Inbox on iOS - Apple loves stealing ideas from Android) and at the bottom you see "All Mail" last screen shows the Orange tab indicating my Yahoo inbox, if I just want to see those emails. Or you can just auto forward yahoo and hot mail from inside those programs into GMail. Entirely up to you. Google apps are very robust.

Egads, that's the ugliest mail app I've ever seen.

Who is you're email provider? All of my folders with hotmail and yahoo are synced.

I'm having a hard time with Android's email apps, I'm used to iOS stock app. In particular I'm looking for an app that shows me my Hotmail folders like the iOS app does, and allows me to choose which folders to sync.

So far I've tried the stock email app on Touchwiz (Note 2), aqua mail, and K9 mail, I haven't really liked any of those.

Has any developer just completely copied the iOS mail app? I'd love to just clone it and have it on Android as so far it's been far superior in productivity. Free would be nice, but I'm not afraid to pay for the right app.

try inomail...the interface is exactly like iOS. I've been using it with my gmail, icloud and another pop account for more than a year..quite happy with it.

Try solmail, looks great but only no push. However they will implement this in the next updates

Inomail may look the closest to iOS mail but I found it lacking all but the most basic of features. It also seems to have issues with large Exchange address book lookups.

Why would anyone want to use iOS Mail, app is garbage, IMO.

I can't even draft an email then attach documents/photos to it. I need to go into the Photo app first, then select share to Mail. Then god forbid I want to attach more than 1 item.

Absolutely terrible for any work use. Unless you strictly want the look of the UI.

In iOS email you press and hold in the body of the message and select "insert photo or video".

have you ever wondered why you can't attach any other file to email? lets say a pdf or a word document? this issue alone makes ios very unsuitable for work or serious business. on android you know where your files (any and every type of files) are, thus you can share them in any way you like (email, bluetooth, wifi, nfc etc)

I wasn't defending iOS email or stating it was better than android offerings. I was just simply correcting the previous posters statement.

I use Samsung's native email client. I can see all folders just fine but it certainly requires more touches to do that than in iOS.

And I strongly suggest you use IMAP settings whenever possible. It offers you such better integration than via POP3.

what are the features you're looking for? i found it doing exactly what i need..i can see all the folders on my email server (both gmail and icould)
I dont use exchange address book. (all my contacts are in gmail and icloud)
can you be specific on what email features are you looking for?

After all these years, IMO iOS mail is still the best. Outlook on android is pretty good - still like iOS mail better. Searching for old emails, reliability wise its still the best. That's one of the main reasons I'm back on iOS. Its almost on par with BB10 for emails

I use the premium AquaMail app. It has folders, deletes from the server and is customizable to the Nth degree. There is nothing that app can"t do when it comes to mail.
It's annoying when people expect all Android apps to be the same as Apple's. Have you ever considered that they aren't just different but sometimes better?

When I had an Android, I found all of the Android email apps to be horrible and lacking important features. Spark Mail is coming to Android, so hopefully there will finally be a decent Android email app.

Outlook is the only app with great look and fonts. However, the avatars take up too much space - many people drop outlook because of that.

Wait, what?

Yes you can.

Start your new email. On my Xr which doesn’t have 3D Touch I long press on the blank part of my message and this brings up a menu with options that say SELECT SELECT ALL QUOTE LEVEL >. You press the arrow > and it shows the full menu which lets you select INSERT PHOTO/VIDEO and ATTACH FILE.

I just sent a pdf from one email address to another doing that. I didn’t even have to go looking for it, I only had one pdf stored and it had it right there available to attach.

I admit this is not really obvious. The interface to share files is much cleaner on my Samsung email app.

GM, you realize you were replying to a 5 year old post? :p IIRC, back then, you were limited in your email attachment capabilities.

I still use iOS stock mail app and Gmail. See no need for 3rd party apps outside of these 2 first party suppliers.

Lol, No I didn't notice the date. I hadn't been over here looking through the Android subjects in any depth for a few days so was just wandering through when that post caught my eye.
