Uhh that looks cute ! Do u have a link or sth on how to do that ?

Is this on ipad btw ?

I know i can have it as a webpage but having a window is much more convenient...and pwa sucks the life outta my ram/battery lol

I see you're a believer :))
That is a screenshot from my iMac, but it looks exactly the same on my iPad. I use the "open-as-a-popup" browser extensions that launches the current tab into it's own window that doesn't have any of the browser elements. It looks and acts as a standalone app and uses less resources than a PWA.

Regarding the customer headers, and notes... there are plenty of videos on tips and tricks to get the most out of Keep, but here's one that's a start...

Yes, I'm a Christian pastor. :) I use my devices for sermon prep, study, ministry development, software development, and project planning and implementation.

Apple’s notes app, Goodnotes and OneNote are certainly the most popular ones as far as I know but I also use Nebo relatively often to log large pieces of text for my journal- then export it to Day One as plain text. Nebo’s handwriting recognition is working very well for my rather messy handwriting.

Just want to add a +1. I do the same with Nebo, except I put the text into Onenote instead.

Notability! Why? It feels the most natural with my style of handwriting (see below). I usually write in a heavy slant that Apple Notes and GoodNotes don't seem to like as much. Notability feels almost like writing with a pen on paper for me with my handwriting style. I don't mind Notability's cost as it's so tiny for something I use everyday - I've got thousands of pages of notes in that app. I used to spend $100+/year on notebooks, pens, paper. I love that I can back it all up (as PDF) to OneDrive.

Apple Notes seems to work for people who write in block lettering - I wish they'd make the Pencil thinner and less see-through as the Pencil (vs pen) works good for my handwriting.

OneNote is great especially if you have Windows machines you need to sync your notes to - it's more like an unlimited canvas but I find the Apple Pencil doesn't feel as good as it does on Notability.

Nothing beats Notability horizontal with these pen settings - I usually write with .38 Uniball pens (very small):

Google Keep is available as a native app on the iPad. Keep can be used as a desktop app as well... it doesn't have to sit in a browser window.

Google is not going to drop support for Keep. It is an integral part of their productivity suite. They recently added some functionality to it to enhance it.
Does Google Keep still work as an app on your iPad? Because it stopped working properly for me on the iPhone on the iOS 15.2 update, and nothing has changed when upgrading to iOS 15.3…

Keep still works on mine, but my iPad Mini 5 is still on 14.8. I don't plan on updating unless the apps that I rely on require some newer version of iPad OS.

Hi
Does notes change handwriting to text
Neil

Convert your handwritten notes to text

You can convert your handwriting* in two ways:
  • You can write with the pen farthest from the ruler, which has an "A" on it. Your handwriting will convert automatically to text as you write.
  • If you already have some handwritten notes, you can select the notes and convert them to text:
    1. Double-tap or touch and hold a word you want to select. Select more words by sweeping your finger over them. You can triple-tap to select an entire line of words.
    2. Tap the selected words.
    3. In the menu that appears, tap Copy as Text.

You can also use scribble, turn it on in settings > pencil

I'll be buying an iPad (probably the new Mini) in the near future, and one of the main features I'm looking to use it for is to take notes to avoid having to use notepads and pieces of paper when I need to quickly write something down that's work related.

What is a good app which will allow me to do just that in combination with the pencil?
For what it is worth, I've been taking notes with an iPad with Adonit Jot since 2017, and still take notes with my iPad (instead with latest iPad Pro and 2nd Gen Apple Pencil).

I pretty much experimented with every note taking app. So far, GoodNotes is one of the best. Microsoft's OneNote is another favorite of mine that has one or two feautres that GoodNotes doesn't - infinite canvas and cross platform. My problem with OneNote it is cloud-based only for Mac and IOS. For windows, you can have it offline. There is also a bit of privacy issue (correct me if I am wrong).

I do have a fondness for Zoom Notes which has the infinite canvas but its UI is freakin mess. It is so damn difficult to change the color of pen for example and it is difficult to organize folders of your pages. So off and on, I'll use Zoom Notes.

With Apple Notes it is just a storage dump and not a serious note taking program.
