To those that are using the Apple leather case as their daily driver, are you worried about dust and debris scratching the stainless steel sides of your phone? I've been trying to exclusively use just the Apple leather case. My concern is, since the sides of the Apple leather case basically run parallel to the sides of the phone instead of wrapping around to screen, I worry that tiny things that can scratch my phone will have an easier time falling down the sides and getting trapped in there and essentially cause dings or scratches. I think the sides of the Apple leather are pretty tight, but I don't know if they're tight enough.

A tiny bit of the coating around the camera bump on my Cyrill Color Brick has started to peel, I’m assuming from the walkie talkie I use at work rubbing against it since I clip it onto my pocket. I’m kind of disappointed, the SolidSuit I had on my XS Max for 2 years had essentially no signs of wear.

Received the UAG Civilian cases today. Been using it on my iPhone 12 Pro since they were delivered. Got sidetracked by the wacko stuff happening in DC. Anyhow, I like the feel of the case. The back is definitely thicker than the Sheath, Color Brick, Symmetry (non-magsafe variant), Speck Candyshell Pro. But the back also has a slight contour to it, actually makes the phone somewhat more comfortable to hold. Buttons are fantastic. The whole case fits very snug, but not OB Symmetry snug. Definitely a little heavier than the color brick and especially the Sheath. But not unwieldy IMHO. I'll keep it on for a few days and post my some more thoughts later this weekend.

Nice - mine is supposed to be here tomorrow. Looking forward to giving it a try.

Civilian finally showed up. Preliminarily I really like it. IF the side black rubber was that rubber used on Aneu it would absolutely be the case to beat. Solid case for the money; especially at 25% off or whatever. Good case; like it so far... feels solid in hand. Buttons aren’t worth writing home about they definitely aren’t flawed so

Definitely looks fantastic with the PB phone... 100% without a doubt wins looks department.

I’d like that so much better without the “URBN ARMR GEAR”, but that color looks great with the PB phone.

You need this Mallard band to go with it:

Any ideas of a clear case that has some grip along the edges? I had the Otterbox Traction on my XS but it appears they don't make it anymore for the 12. Or I may just try a bumper like the rhino shield, but leaving the back open scares me a little.

Well, the UAG Civilian is out for me, for now. The back seems real thick when handling. The width isn't bad, but the back of case just makes my phone feel real thick. This is just me, so maybe you'll have a different experience. Switched back to my Nomad Rugged in Rustic Brown (modified lock/power button). This thing is perfect now that my buttons are super responsive. It's like putting on those trusty work boots that are broke in and feel super comfortable.

I'm not sure if you used any of them, but would you compare the added thickness to using any of the Apple Smart Battery cases for previous generation iPhones?
