Agreed. The lint on the silicone is worse than ever.
Yeah, I do agree with this since I’ve used the silicones for other phones in the past.. however a sacrifice I’m willing to deal with as I can’t find a case that can beat the grip, and keep the slim profile.

Anyone with the Cyrill leather brick let me know if it’s really floppy by the lightening port or solid all around?

Thinking about switching up the case for my new iPhone and getting a portfolio style case or a case where I can store my credit cards. Are there any amazing cases that fit these profiles? I have never had either style case before so I am not sure where to start looking.

I have been using the Apple leather case with the wallet. I've never liked wallet cases because of how bulky they are so it's nice to have the option to remove it when it's not needed. I'm actually planning on getting a second wallet in black since the blue one I have doesn't match my silicone cases at all.

So I take back a little of what I said about the Apple silicone. I’ve barely used mine, and just now, a small piece of the silicone material came off in one of the top corners.

Apple hopefully will replace that. I have a tiny dent on the top corner of my Navy Blue and I guess it was from bumping into something.. but the past silicon cases I’ve used were flawless and I’ve only had my case for 3 months.

I actually bought it through Amazon because I was able to use 1 Amex point and get 40% off. I just submitted an exchange and the replacement should arrive Thursday, at which point I'll return this one.

I got the Speck Candyshell Grip Pro and I have to say it's my absolute favourite case. The grip has changed from rubber to plastic on this years model, but the case feels perfect in the hand. Also it has a generous raised lip for the screen and camera.

I enjoyed the Candyshell Grip back in the 5/5s days. I always went for the white/black grips. Post some pictures if you can.

The Onyx in green. Makes my Caudabe Sheath look really bad.
I bought the same case/color and love it. Even better, it's already protected the phone from a two-foot drop onto concrete. No damage at all.

I would like add the Apple wallet, but I figure the corner bumps will probably keep the wallet from sticking.

Photos don’t have the best lighting.

Are there any thin clear hard shell cases similar to the Caudabe Lucid without the button cutouts or slits on the corners? The Lucid is currently on sale for $26 directly from Caudabe, but if there’s a cheaper alternative I’ll take a chance on it.

Well, I still like my Nomad’s, but they’re a bit boring. The brown isn’t changing much on the mini and the 12 natural color just looks dirty. They’re great protective cases. I guess after using the mini without a case for a few days I’m looking to try a super slim clear case. And I don’t want a tpu case like peel. I like the lucid because it’s a hard shell. I don’t like the button cutouts to much or the slits on the corners.

I keep going back to my Sheath, should of just stuck with it, it's smaller/lighter and nicer to use, it moulds to the phone shape and it's like just using the phone naked but with some grip, if that makes sense.

Here's the black after a few weeks.

Are those ridges comfortable?
Very comfortable. The case feels very nice in the hand. It's not overly grippy and not slippery whatsoever, kind of in the middle ground. It's really a perfect case in my eyes. I've tried a lot of various cases and this case hits all the points: grippy, lightweight, large lip on front/back, perfect buttons, fairly inexpensive, proper cutouts, etc.
