Bought another carved case!! Was rocking them for awhile then decided to do the Apple leather with the MagSafe wallet (super great combo btw) but I love how carved is just. so. pretty. And I found this one. I ordered another in a darker color and it looks great too but I lOVE the white “snowfall” color.

I got my Phone Rebel Flex on Saturday. So far I like it. I didn’t realize how slippery the edge of the naked phone is. The included vinyl stickers might help with that but I haven’t put them on just yet.

The case itself feels pretty high quality and fits snug on the phone. I don’t know how difficult it’ll be to take off but I’ll find out soon since I need to replace my glass screen protector.

The only negative I’ve noticed so far is the corners that face out are a little sharp, which I only notice when talking with the phone cradled between my shoulder and my ear. It’s noticiable but I don’t think it’s necessarily a deal breaker.

For those that care, the cutouts on the bottom are asymmetrical.

I’ll try to post pictures soon.

So interesting issue with my Phone Rebel Flex. I removed my glass screen protector cuz it kept cracking, and I have no protector while I wait for the replacement to arrive. I noticed that now the top half of the phone seems to shift slightly back & forth within the case. It’s slight, maybe 1-2mm. But it’s weird. Pretty sure it didn’t do this before with the screen protector on, but maybe I just didn’t notice. I tried removing and reinstalling the case and it was tight then started doing it again. It’s just weird holding the phone and feeling it move in the case like that.

I sent them an email and they’re sending a replacement. They want this one back to send to their manufacturer for inspection. We’ll see if the new one does it, screen protector or not.

Haven’t noticed such here. When I’m more awake maybe I need to play with it a little more. I’d assume both ours were all “first run” kind of deal though.

How do you like yours? I liked it a lot. I’m missing mine… using my dbrand Grip while I wait for the replacement.

Yeah definitely not too bad. I really like the side less thing myself. Case is solid in hand to me and is a chunk. Definitely paid more for cases I like less. Last sideless model plastic was maybe a little less solid/softer; almost maybe preferred it

Yea I know what you mean. It was different somehow. I don’t have mine anymore to compare.

I got the replacement yesterday and I noticed that it does the same thing with the slight shifting of the phone. But as soon as I put my glass screen protector on the issue is completely gone. Do you have a glass screen protector on your phone? I have a Flolab but not the one it came with but the notch-less one.

Also are you using the vinyl stickers for the sides? I’m wondering if I should try them since the sides of the naked phone are a little slick.

Well I gotta say they have excellent customer service. I emailed them just telling them I had the same issue with the replacement but not to worry about it since it’s fine with the screen protector. They’re sending me another case! Hopefully third time is the charm.

Sorry mate, not sure how I didn’t see this. I have debated using side stickers but haven’t yet lol. Also, using a hybrid film-ish protector I got at TJ Maxx; I’d have to see what model. It’s not a normal thick glass protector though.

Solid case though; I like it

I’m probably the most unlucky guy when it comes to Apple leather covers, I’ve only had my 13 Pro 2 weeks and already on my 3rd case which itself is already showing issues and going back to Apple tomorrow.

#1 - Dark Cherry that I opened at home after buying phone & case in store, as soon as I opened the box it was clear there was a defect in the leather or it had been damaged at factory (definitely not grain or scarring from the animal hide). Took back to Apple store and they exchanged for another colour (my choice).

#2 - Sequoia Green that looked fine in the box so took it home. Fitted it to phone and quickly found that MagSafe wasn’t working on it, charger barely held on. Back to Apple store again and they exchanged no issue (swapped colour at same time because why not).

#3 - Midnight that I took out of box in the store to check it was free of damage and MagSafe worked, which it did and I was happily walking out thinking it was finally solved. Got home and later realised the buttons were extremely stiff and barely registered presses, it pretty much takes pure muscle to activate Apple Pay. Took the case off and you can see the buttons seem too big for the recesses on the inside so they’re almost wedged in position………URGH. Booked in to the store again tomorrow where I’m giving it one more chance and if not then I’ll just give up and get something different.

#4 guess it’s only rude to not go for Golden Brown since I’ve swapped colours every time.

I’m convinced the quality has gone downhill as I had an IPhone 6 with leather case for 4 years with zero issues and an IPhone XS with leather case for 3 years with again no issues.

Thank Christ for their 2 week returns policy that resets with every exchange.

How is the protection on these? Does the front have a good lip and is it slippery? I tend to drop my phone from time to time lol.
I think they’re decent actually. If you like the look but need something more protective then I’d do one of their travelers because it has a rubber black border that is excellent for drops.

Here’s a pic of my travelers. That said I love Carved and aside from Apple cases they’re my favorite. Apple cases are still good and I tend to get one when I get a new phone because I wait to see the perfect carved case which sometimes takes a bit lol. Everything made is one of one meaning you will get a one of a kind case! Plus I love their customer service. They honestly are the nicest company I’ve ever dealt with. So worth it!

Today I received the product red silicone case from apple, pretty soft.

This is my rotation. I started with the UAG but since I now use the Apple Wallet on a daily basis I have since then put it aside. But I still think it’s a great case.

My leather California poppy is very worn out, and my black leather one is still holding up.

Out of curiosity I asked Phone Rebel if anyone else had reported the issue I was having and they said yup I’m not the first one. So at least I’m not crazy… lol.

Love love LOVE bullstrap! Since I didn’t upgrade and really liked the dark cherry color I found an alternative… not too far off from dark cherry;if anything it looks more realistic than the Apple cases (the colors look more like paint now). But I love the bourbon color from bullstrap. Absolutely stunning and the smell of the leather… it is far better quality than the Apple leather hate to say! Still love Apple- definitely not knocking it too hard. But for genuine leather I def recommend bullstrap

Does anyone have any recommendations for a slim case that matches the blue iPhone? Not the pacific blue of the pro, the regular iphone 12.
