Glad to see you here too brother.
On a side note, a co-worker has one of the speck clear cases on her 12 and it’s pretty nice. It’s a fingerprint and grease magnet, but still a decent case if you can get it on sale. The buttons are no worse than the Nomad’s.

Glad to see you also I can’t believe it’s been over a year but I finally got my promax. Hope all is well

Hahaha. You are the one who sets benchmark on here when it comes to cases. You buy we follow lol.

Ive only kept two so far.

Baltic Blue Leather and Plum Silicone. Returned rest of the stash (before anyone throws hissy fit they were all unused did not even try it on my Pro Max).

LOS ANGELES BABY!!
How do you like the Apple leather case? Do you have the Baltic blue or the Saddle brown? I’ve been looking at the Apple leather cases and the nomad case and nomad has a rubber fitting where the phone goes into where the Apple leather case has thinner sides with leather around the edges and like the Silicon case nice soft Suede material inside.
Hi

I have the Apple black leather cases which is nice but really offer zero drop protection and have no lip protection whatsoever on the front. I do tend to drop my phone a lot so I am waiting for my OtterBox symmetry with magsafe from Best Buy to be delivered today. I just need a little more protection than this leather case can provide. But for me the MagSafe imprint really is minimal on the leather case and I’ve been using it for a week now. If I wanna use a leather case I think I’m just gonna wait for the nomad to come out next year with the Magsafe.

I wouldn’t say zero. I’ve witnessed a drop of 3m & the phone was unscathed.
and have no lip protection whatsoever on the front
& unless they’ve changed the design from all prior years, then there’s usually a decent lip on Apple’s leather & silicone cases.

Now if you have a screen protector, the lip may not be enough, but on a naked screen, the lips are fine.

An almost 10 foot drop with the leather case?

I currently have a Crystal clear Spigen case on my 12 Pro but I also ordered two other different cases online. I’m still waiting on them. One is from an overseas seller on Etsy. I ordered it on October 24. The other is a black silicone case with a hybrid wood and green resin inlay on the back.

I returned my Apple silicone case and bought the Apple leather case when it was released. The leather really is very nice, and fits very well (I’ve read others have had issues).

I also ordered a cheap bumper from eBay UK, and I must say I prefer it to the leather case!

Read on here that someone had a bumper for theirs and ordered one expecting it to be crap. It’s nice to hold, adds minimal bulk and is very pocketable.

Not had a bumper since my iPhone 7.

I had Rhinoshield bumper for my Pixel 4xl and it was slippery as hell. It kind of has to be more rigid because if it were made of grippy silicone, it would be too flimsy.

I've just ordered one of these to see what they're like; https://decodedbags.com/products/back-cover-split-black-iphone-12-pro

Anyone got one? I have heard good things. I have seen the solid black one on the previous page.
Received.

it’s a ‘nice’ case. But that’s where it stops. The fit is okay, bottom corners come off easily and it is quite chunky. The buttons are very hard to press. Makes the phone quite slippery actually

The leather, like the ESR cases, feels very papery and thin. No where near as nice in the hand as the Apple ones. Apple’s is much softer and more premium feeling.

This is going back and I’m done with ordering leather cases and sticking with my BB Apple one.

Thanks for the review. I guess I won’t be ordering one after all. Still waiting on my Mujjo and that’s my last attempt at another leather case that’s similar to Apple’s. If I don’t like it, I’ll stick with my chunky Nomad.

So far, this year, I’ve played Otterbox Defender, Spigen Thin Fit and the Evutec. Just as typical with every year I keep finding myself back in Evutec. @FellOffTheTruck, I realize it isn’t your style because occasionally it KFC CHICKEN bucket fingerprints but MAN it’s such a good solid case for the money. Great compromise between phone protection and size. Year after year I come back to this case.

Ugh keep trying to attach images and stupid Tapatalk

Only other case I have a desire to play with is one of the Mallard UAG Pathfinders.

That’s strange that you say the leather Apple cases have no lip for front protection, but the 12PM leather case and my old 11PM leather case both have a lip, which is still enough even with the film screen protector I have installed. It’s certainly not a giant rim, but at least for me, that would be a deal breaker. I much prefer as thin of a case as possible, and normally switch between the Apple leather case and the Totallee ultra thin case. I’m not one to normally drop my phone, so I don’t want or need a super chunky case.

Ended up ordering an Apple leather case in saddle brown. Will update when it arrives.
So the case arrived and all I can say is that I am ecstatic. Super happy with how the case fits, how the leather feels, the color, how accurate the cutouts are and specially how great the buttons are!!!

Cannot believe how a case is such a huge part of the whole experience. My previous Spigen Thin Fit case was giving me bad vibes regarding the 12 Pro Max but now with this case I’m completely thrilled!!! Definitely would recommend and will probably also purchase a black one ??

Edit: for the ones in doubt about the lip, I have a glass screen protector and can confirm there’s enough lip for it not to touch the surface.

Can you post some pictures showing the Symmetry case with Magsafe? Please show the interior of case as I would like to see how Otterbox implemented the Magsafe.

So for anyone with an early Smartish Kung-Fu, I took an exact-o knife and cut slits on each side of the power button and each side of both volume buttons. Great improvement in the tactile feel of pressing the buttons. Not as satisfying as the  Leather cases, but much better than when I got it.

I’m disabled so I don’t go out that much, I’m mostly lying down and when I go out it’s usually to my oncologist for chemo so then I usually put on a heavier case and for now that’s the catalyst case which Has good drop protection so I’m probably going for the Apple leather case in baltic blue. I’ve had the Nomad Rugged case for my iPhone 11 Pro Max and I hated the buttons very hard to push when you come from the silicone case or the Catalyst case. Those buttons are so nice and smooth. Now I have 23 cases that I have to get rid of from my iPhone 11 promax.
