I got my kumquat case in the mail a couple days ago. I’m super ready to downsize from a 11PM screen to the 12P after holding the new case. I also saw the cases for the 12PM in target today and I’m super glad I didn’t wait to order that one.

I’ll be getting a leather case when they come out in Nov. In the meantime, I got this inexpensive Faux-leather case from amazon. Basically similar to the cheap TPU cases found everywhere, but with the fake leather back. For around $10, it will do for a few weeks until the leather cases come out.

I want to order a pitaka slim case. They only one in stock is for the iPhone 12 and NOT the 12 pro. Pitaka advises that the camera dimensions are different on the 12 and 12 pro. Does anyone know this to be true?

My UAG carbon fibre showed up Wednesday. Always my go to case. All I need now is the phone. View attachment 970929 View attachment 970931
How bulky is it? Is it light?

thanks!

I just got the air delivered. It’s super light but doesn’t cover the lip of the phone at the bottom. Curious to see how it handles a drop

I don’t mean to be a naysayer, but what exactly is the appeal of MagSafe? It just seems like a huge gimmick to me. I’ve never had an issue once with a non-magnetic case falling off my iPhone, nor have I had any issues with any wireless chargers. I’m not asking anyone to justify their purchase, but maybe you can shed some light on what I’m not seeing.

Otterbox dropped their screen coverings a few releases back. We had to buy a separate screen protector for the XR. You can buy one from another vendor - they are pretty cheap on Amazon.

I haven't purchased an Otterbox model since I got one for a relative's iPhone 8.

I currently use an Otterbox Defender on a 6S+. I've clearly been out of the phone case game for a while.

What would you all recommend for a rugged drop protection case? Do any of the cases in that style come with MagSafe compatibility? If not, which MagSafe compatible case would you recommend for the best drop protection? Also, with the screen protectors being separate now, are the glass ones removable? I definitely will be getting AppleCare+ with the iPhone 12 Pro Max once I'm able to preorder it.

So far, looking at all the cases, the Otterbox Symmetry might be what I want, but I would appreciate any input or suggestions! (And it looks like the Otterbox Symmetry won't be available on launch day, so I might just get the Apple Silicone case until the case makers catch up)

I don’t plan on getting the MagSafe charger, but from what I gather, it’s not just the charger itself but rather how it’s used - you’re able to use the phone while it’s magnetised to the back in its non-intrusive small form factor.

& it’s also easily transportable & can be placed in car mobile phone compartments to easily connect your phone to.

I‘m not happy about it being the only charger able to supply 15w to the iPhone 12 range, & I’m especially not happy about it not coming with the 20w brick...

Back on topic,
I’ve confirmed with SwitchEasy that their Nude case for iPhone 12 has front lips which sink down to screen level on the top/bottom edges, meaning they’ve put great thought into the ergonomics of the case...

My spigen thin fit won’t be delivered until Monday and I don’t want to run around without a case so I got Apple black silicone at Best Buy with curbside pickup. Black on black affair until the leather cases are released.

That sounds great! I don't like the lip getting in the way during swipe up, that's what I really appreciated about the Apple cases. My last SwitchEasy case was when I had a 3GS, maybe time to look again.

Already took off the silicone. The lint was everywhere.
In a tech 21 evo check, which is a go to.
Much happier
