Don’t make excuses for EAP. He hyped us up about a crappy product that he sold to us at a premium price. He deserves no sympathies. He already has our money. If he really cared, he would refund us back a portion of our money because this is a sub par product. But he won’t.
Not trying to make excuses for EAP. He has my money too.

I just hope he’s in a financial situation that allows him to refund, or at least compensate unsatisfied customers like myself. That would mean he has to make enough sales to cover his loses.

Worst case scenario for me would be if EAP gets overwhelmed with returns/cancelled orders and never replies to my customer support request.

Initial impressions, Not that bad. The case fits real (crowbar) TIGHT, slim, feels pretty good in the hand and looks fantastic.
The buttons are real smushy and only held in via that glued on fabric which sucks pretty bad. My fabric looks like it's coming loose on the ends right out of the box :( I'll report back later with any updates.
I just threw it on the phone and took some quick pictures.

Keeping an open mind here. I know there are plenty of people who want EAP to fail because they don’t like his YouTube channel - some comments on YouTube are evident of this. But if it’s a poor quality case, I hope people are just honest & list its flaws without having a go at him directly.
I love his YouTube channel, especially his drop tests. I just don’t like being taken advantage of.

I like his youtube channel a lot! Always have followed him and watched his videos.

It's just his cases are mediocre at best. There's no other way to slice it. He's not really hyping up the cases per say--he just managed to tap into the techie 'case-a-holics' of the internet/youtube who would easily throw down money at a case that not many people have or that is exclusive.

Like, you can get a Spigen case that fits better, looks better and most likely protects the same as what he's selling. And that's just the 'bargain' brands. Once you start going into Otterbox, UAG, etc his own cases are irrelevant.

Yes, the TPU is very firm. So firm that I'm worried about how hard it will be to remove my phone from the case.
The case does not lay flat on the back and rocks back & forth. The grip on the sides is also mediocre.
The aramid fiber is already smudging up and my hands are clean and dry.

The buttons look great from the outside, but the durability really worries me. What were they thinking to glue the buttons in with a piece of fabric is beyond me.

Thank you. I’m so hesitant on this one

Is the aramid fiber soft touch coated like Pitakas?

Here is my impression as I just got mine today as well. I am not going to add pictures as I think @Hooterville showed the same as I would.

Grip/Feel: 8/10 - I would like a little more grip on the edges - like the dbrand Grip - but it's comfortable

Buttons: 7/10 - While I am not in love with the fabric/glue keeping the button in place, there are no holes or slits. The case is going to keep it all in place and there isn't that much flex where I would need to be concerned. Mind you, I don't change cases all of the time, so this won't come off unless there is some other issue

Camera Protection: 9/10 - Anything larger or deeper is going to be an issue. While the phone will lay flat, it has a little wobble but is better than some other cases I have tried.

Fit: 9/10 - It's tight! But for my everyday case, since I am not swapping cases unless there is a real issue, this is what I want. I like the lip around the front as it has the protection I want without being too big or high.

Mag-Safe: 6/10 - This is based on my Mag-Sage charger and wallet and comparing it to my Pitaka. The Pitaka is strong, and my Gen2 Rebel case was even stronger. I expected this case to be at least as strong as the Gen2, but based on the wallet and in-home charger, the Pitaka is stronger than the Gen3 Rebel. The true test is if it holds the phone in my mobile set up. The Pitaka has never faltered.

Overall: 7/10 - Overall my first impression is it's not a bad case at all. My biggest disappointment would be the Mag-Safe strength. Time will see how the buttons flex-tape holds up and if the grip will become a bit slicker with usage. I will update after I go through Pothole Central (Massachusetts) and see how the magnets hold.

Someone on Reddit just did a drop test with the rebel frosted series, and the magnet in the back popped out. Looks like they used cheap adhesives!

Hi all, anyone in UK after the new Speck case with MagSafe. I just found this. I already have the grip version and it’s great. You can’t get these in the UK I’ve found.

Hope it helps someone.

Phone Rebel case recipients, here's a tip how not to destroy your packaging when opening

If you don't want to destroy the packaging, there is a little clear sticker on the top that when peeled off the top pops right open. Better then shredding the whole side with the pull tab.
