^ What does it matter when you’re not looking at the back to use the thing?

I am sure I am not the only one that looks at the back of the device just to admire the beauty of it!

I am just an average Apple fan who'd rather keep her phone naked all the time to admire it, but since I'm afraid to do it, I, at least want my case to be nice looking.

Also, I am sure that depending the way you hold the device while you use it, you can feel these cutouts on the back, which is probably not cool.

It is aesthetically ugly though, isn't it?
I can't be the only one who is bothered by this.
I am genuinely curious as to why they do it.

It must be easier to make them that way, but it also puzzles me that a 5$ case from Ali does not have this "defect".

I disagree with it being ugly, I actually like this feature when it’s done right. BUT I love a good matte or regular clear case that’s all one solid piece like you’re talking about. Loved the one in your picture. And yes, I understand looking at the back of your phone because I tend to admire the back of my phone A LOT now that I got the beautiful Sierra Blue 13 Pro Max. I wish I was brave enough to rock it naked all the time, instead of just at home. Truly gorgeous phone!

Hi everyone, I'm on the hunt for a semi clear matte case for my silver 13 Pro Max, but I really hate this trend (?) all popular cases tend to have these days.

See attached photo:

I really don't get why companies do this now? Not just with clear cases, but with almost all cases?

Is it cheaper to manufacture it?
Why can't the back be a solid piece all around up to the edges of the device?
It looks, so, so bad in my eyes, terrible in terms of design.

A super cheap case I have from Ali, doesn't have this problem and I wouldn't need to search for another case, but the hard PC material on the back started getting yellow at certain spots.

So I'm looking at more expensive cases that are less likely to yellow over time and I cannot find a single one!

Is it really so hard to find a non-yellowing semi clear matte case with PC back and soft TPU matte sides?
That also has a one-piece back, as I mentioned?

Here's the case I have now, that apart from the yellowing, it makes the perfect case for me.
If anyone has a case like this that doesn't yellow, please let me know... It's important for me that the back of the case doesn't have those ugly cutouts around the cameras, that I see everywhere.

Thank you in advance!

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I don't use Magsafe so I'd rather the case not have a Magsafe ring.

But this case you are showing, has exactly the "feature" I mentioned that I hate, on my previous post:

I marked this up on your photo:

To make it even more clear, because your case is transparent, I'm borrowing a photo from earlier posts, to show exactly what bothers me:

Ringke Fusion does not seem to have that.

Everything you see here that is clear (or frosted) is one single piece of clear, hard plastic, including the camera lip.

I'm actually really impressed how they made basically a seamless transition from the rear clear hard plastic to the black rubber surround. I'm guessing that mold process is where he spent a lot of money.

I would say those designs around the camera lip are reinforcements to help prevent the case from developing stress cracks during drops. The camera lip will take a lot of force in a rear down drop.

What’s the best Sheath alternative this year?

Last year, surprisingly, that was the only case I bought for my 12 PM and I loved it. Just got a 13 PM and looking for that same thinness and level of drop protection. Decided against the Sheath as it’s far too heavy on an already heavy phone. Any suggestions?

So far I only have a UAG plasma Ice ordered. Was thinking of trying one of the smartish cases…maybe Gripmunk.

The Lifeproof "See" has better looking "cutouts, but not none.......

Thanks a lot for your reply!

Actually, it would make sense if they are reinforcements.
Also, that could possibly make me try to get over the fact that I find it ugly and just buy a case that has this feature, in order to protect the cameras more.

I never thought that it might be done for safery reasons.
