Looks like I put my 13 PM in the case everyone loves to hate, Otterbox Defender Pro XT with MagSafe?. I did see where where several people were adding some thin foam on the inside of the rear face, claiming that was addressing the weak link. Who knows. Got mine at Walmart for $54, so pretty good price. I also got a Mous Limitless 4.0 from Amazon to try out. To be honest I wasn’t inspired by it’s “potential“ drop protection compared to the Defender (of course we’re all mostly just going by seat-of-pants feel on that issue) and it was $65, so I returned it.

To me the Defender feels pretty decent. Not too grippy or slippery and decent button feel, but that’s just me. Thought I’d try playin around with my 3D printer, and did a very-quick-and-absurdly-crude test print of a rear camera lens cover and it actually feels like it has potential with some refinement?. Cheers!

There's no "perfect" case, is there?
Not at ANY price.
THIS has THAT feature, THAT has THIS feature............
Almost seems like a conspiracy amongst the manufacturers to keep people buying new and different cases, until they find the unobtainable "Holy Grail"!
....................which, in most "cases", THEY NEVER WILL!
THIS is more of a racket than the phones themselves!
THEN, there's the screen protectors........................
Don't get me started!
Imo, this incipio grip with the skin is pretty close to perfect for me. Great grip, buttons are nice, the case quality and fit are perfect. I’m happy. From now on, I will do this same mod to cases for my phones.

Edit: layout.

Looks like a catalyst case? I had the $90 one. It was junk. I sent it back. Worst buttons I’ve ever felt on a case.

Edit: MagSafe didn’t work on it either.
That Catalyst Influence case I pictured above was a fantastic case and had perfect buttons. I also like the fact that I could change colors and loved the orange buttons. You must have had the waterproof case from them which I never tried.

Still very happy with my Pitaka Mag EZ 2.. but as I am a “case ho” like the rest of the people in this thread ;) I was wondering if anyone has come across another thin case that has the same strength with MagSafe?

So my Phone Rebel Flex came in early, crazy. Not too bad, but not sure if I am feeling it. Fit seems good. Protection level is ok I guess. With the sides being exposed though I dunno. Thought I would like it more than I am. Also the back is kind of fingerprinty. Not sure if it is a keeper. Will try to get pics up hopefully tomorrow.

@Hooterville is this the case you are talking about? https://www.catalystlifestyle.com/products/vibe-case-for-iphone-13-series?variant=39573716664429
Would love some pictures. Looking to also get the case. Would be interested if you decide to get rid of it if its for the 13 pro.

Those exposed sides & protruding corners are meant to give you a more sure grip & hence reduce the chance of droppage.

It’s what I found since using a similar case on my old iPhone X. & you get maximum reach across the screen plus front/rear lay on table design. Actual iPhone button use & being able to see some of the most beautiful parts of the iPhone (side edges, but the aluminium sides on the non-pro models are better imo since no fingerprints) are also major positives.

I can understand if you drop your phone often &/or don’t like the looks though.

Has anyone been using the Apple Clear Case with Magsafe on Iphone 13? How is it holding up? worthy to buy?

Mines holding up fine. I like it a lot. The only thing that bugs me is that it seems to like dust in pretty easily in a couple days. I’ve always found this to be an issue with hard cases.

The first one I got fit too loosely. The second fit perfectly.

If you don’t mind a little bit of dust and having to clean it once a week, I think it’s a great case. It’s a tad thicker and heavier than the Apple Leather MagSafe case, I’d say, FYI.
