My phone and case journey so far this year...

1. Bought iPhone 15 Pro in Blue Ti
2. Bought Caudabe Sheath (Celestial Blue) after seeing the Blue + Blue combo
3. Got bored quickly, returned Blue Ti 15 Pro and sold case
4. Ordered Natural Ti 15 Pro
5. Bought a generic Amazon silicone case in black (just to tide me over until the next case arrives)
6. Caudabe Synthesis in Gray (too heavy, side grip is too rough compared to Sheath)
7. Apple Silicone case in Clay (felt nice, but picked up oil/grease/fingerprints too easily)
8. Sold both of those cases, bought an Otterbox Symmetry in Blue after seeing another pic on here
9. Nice case, but a little too bulky for my liking
10. Bought a Caudabe Sheath in gray. Very happy (although now tempted by the Gripmunk ffs)

Smartish Gripmunk. Literally a Caudabe Synthesis killer with better buttons. Oh, and also only $16.

Are the buttons an open design like the synthesis? I'm slowly falling out of love with the synthesis mostly due to how much crud finds its way into those slits.

Still waiting for my Rebel Frosted and Bullstrap Maverick, but some of my favorites so far that have made the cut and not returned....

Can't see myself adding much more ...just waiting on the other 2 cases to come to my top 5 conclusion

L to R

White Nomad sport case
Coastal Rock Nomad sport case
Nomad Modern Leather
Winter Blue Apple silicone
Cypress Apple silicone
Smartish Gripmunk
Caudabe Synthesis
Spigen Ultra Hybrid
QuadLock MAG case

I really like the Cypress Apple silicone. I might have to buy it to go with my winter blue apple silicone case I already have. What charger are you using for your Ultra?

Oh ok. Yeah i found the clay colour a bit boring as well. That is why i went with Winter blue for some colour.

I love the Winter Blue silicone paired with Blue Ti, it looks great with any finish. IMO it’s the best color of the Apple Silicones, Cypress would be second because I’m a sucker for green but I avoid darker shades of silicone cases as the lint and smudges stand out more on darker colors.

Yes. Look at the Spigen Enzo and Benks pro vs Pitaka. Significant price difference for basically the same case which is pretty close to an apples to apples comparison.
I’ve had all 3 cases (plus the pitaka thin case) and yes they are basically the same case, but different in a few key ways.

Between the main 3, I couldn’t stand the feel of the pitaka pro, edges felt like a brick. The case was definitely the lightest of the bunch, but side and back grip was slippery, and was bulky. Really disappointed with this one this year.

Enzo felt the heaviest for some reason, good grip on the sides, ok grip on the back. I think it had the best side grip out of all the cases. Finish on the buttons was subpar, kinda messy, lines not straight, rough lasering, etc. Button presses were ok, felt kinda loose, but acceptable. Case felt like the thinnest out of the 3.

Benks was my favorite out of the 3. Side grip was just a touch less grippy than the Enzo, but it had a textured back (unlike the other 2 that the backs were completely smooth) that was really nice. Big standout was the buttons, they protruded out of the case nicely, were easy to press, felt very solid. If I had to buy one of the cases again, it would be Benks first, then Enzo for a slimmer feel in the hand. Hard pass on the Pitaka pro.

The only case I still have is the pitaka thin case. It has an amazing texture, almost feels rubberized. Doesn’t provide much protection, but I have the Mous aramid case for protection. I work from home, so my phone stays on my desk the majority of the time. My wife likes protective cases like Casetify and Casemate and uses a popsocket, but she loved the pitaka with ohsnap that I use. She said if there were more girly choices, she would want a pitaka as well.

Hope this helps anyone trying to decide between cases!

Re ordered a black nomad modern, Amazon Black Friday sales are for 2 weeks here.
$30AUD cheaper than the horween but they don’t have anyway.

Going to Bali for a few weeks with the black symmetry, it’s a great summer case no marks/smudges and wet hands no worries.

I don’t find that too much crud gets into the slits of the Synthesis. At work I use air blower from the auto shop to give it a nice blow out daily. What did you do in previous iPhone versions when most of the cases didn’t cover the sleep slider?

On another note I’m running the Synthesis since yesterday because I want to get a good feel to compare the Gripmunk when it arrives today.

I talked about the Synthesis buttons recently. It’s really the action button that sucks. The power button is tactile but could be better , the volume buttons work when you press but don’t get that satisfying tactile-itity like the power button.
