Any case with a rigid poly or PET back plate shouldn’t have the indent problem.
Being leather, it’ll likely get marks but not an indent
Phone Rebel Air 2 is a direct knockoff of the Synthesis 
IMO with that Magsafe indent a complete fail

I actually too some goo gone and removed all the sticky stuff off one of the old camera protectors
This way I can just lay the protector on for pictures and decide if I want to stick another one on or not.

I’m back in the Synthesis too. PR seems to have copied the Synthesis in terms of looks and grip, but skipped the most important part in my opinion, which is the rigid backplate. The Air’s TPU also seems softer, which together with the lack of backplate is probably the cause of the MagSafe indent.Phone Rebel Air 2 is a direct knockoff of the Synthesis

So happy I skipped the Air 2. I was planning to buy it but no way I’m going to it now.
Don't blame it on me. It's a good case as long as the Magsafe ring does not bother you.
Been in the Ultra Hybrid Matte all weekend.
Been sleeping on this one! What a great case - I can see why so many on here have it as their staple.
Does that camera cutout annoy you? You don't get a MagSafe hump/ring?

I’m ambivalent about the cutout on the Synthesis. The hard backplate prevents the MagSafe indent, similar to the Symmetry. The fit is very good, better than the Symmetry. The buttons are meh, but fine. I like the grip, the super tight fit, and the thin profile, which approaches (but doesn’t quite match) the Apple cases.

It’s been impossible for me this year. The Synthesis and FineWoven (don’t tell anyone lol) have been getting the most mileage lately.
Anyone have experience with the Otterbox Core? Specifically the material it's made from - is it silicone like the Apple silicone case? I can never get on with that as I find it too sticky/lint magnet etc.
If it's more of a plastic feel though (like the Otterbox Symmetry etc) then I might try it.

Just got my air2 case today. It’s okay, it’s a little thinner than my symmetry but it’s heavier and the weight is noticeable. Lastly the align magnet it’s noticeable, the ring isn’t. It’s going back.Air 2 with the aluminum camera protector

It’s too bad PR didn’t nail this case. A Synthesis without the unnecessary camera surround extension, floating buttons, and flush swiping, would be hard to beat. What we got is yet another mid-grade TPU case with a MagSafe indent.
It’s the MR members and handful of influencers who made Phone Rebel brand popular otherwise its no different to Castify pinching other brand’s ideas.

I ALMOST spent my money on the PR Air 2, but thankfully I didn't. I had high hopes that it'd be the next case that I buy, but thanks to everyone here, I saved the $22 I would've spent on a paperweight, because after I used it a couple of times, it would've gone straight into my "Drawer of death" with a majority of other cases I wasted my money on 🤣
I keep chirping on but I love, love, love the Spigen Ultra Hybrid. Completely sold on always having one of these in my rotation in future. This and an Aspen is all you’ll ever need.

Like a bunch of us, I received the Air 2 case today and while it’s fine, [mention]Hooterville [/mention]is correct in that’s it’s basically a Synthesis clone (and not nearly as good).
I should return it, but with a discount code I paid right at $20 shipped, so I’m not going to even bother. It’s not worth the hassle.
