That’s quite unfortunate. Why would the closed-bottom case snap off and crack around the USB-C port? It probably appears to be a sensitive and fragile area. I’ll keep that in mind.
I've seen a few cases do it. Its just an area where the case can be quite thin. My current case seems to be holding up better but if this one breaks then I'll just got back to open bottom cases.

Yea it’s common my past plastic cases I had for my iPhone 5s had been broken around the port.

I used to buy Otterbox, but when I was opening one to clean my iPhone 6, it broke. I started using Ballistic and they were fine through the iPhone 8 and then, they concentrated on the X, 11, etc.

Now, that I have an iPhone 15, I'm using Spigen Liquid Air, which seems strong but inexpensive. I had another for an Android-based phone, so I believe they're more than satisfactory.

Please recommend a case that saves the screen when phone is dropped. I have heard of Otter and happy to go that route if nothing better
Diverbox is a cost-effective alternative to the traditional otterbox defender version. I used to have it for my iPhone XR, and they now carry it for any iPhone model.

Diverbox case:

Additionally, there are other brands and variants that may suit your specific needs.

If you own a 15 or 15 Pro Max, TJX and Marshall’s offer a variety of robust cases that include screen protectors and come with MagSafe accessories. However, they don’t have as many options for regular Pro models.

I normally buy leather cases but fancied trying something different, and I’m really impressed with the Spigen Enzo! Was on offer at Amazon so thought I’d add yet another case to the ever growing collection

Brough Phone to Mac repair. it's not broken! The screen protector was shattered. I was under impression it was the phone as when I was texting on it it would not respond. I did have to switch phone off and on again to get iMessage going again for some odd reason

That being said, may be a dump question but do iPhone 14 or 16 plus covers fit IPhone 15 plus?

iPhone 16 plus cases ❌ the shape of the camera is bigger and redesigned and has an action button.

iPhone 14 Plus cases you can reuse them the camera structures and the silent switch remain the same.

Interesting. I almost always get clear cases and just get new ones, harder to do when you hang on to phones as long as I do.
I have three clear cases each from a different brand. I swap every few weeks.

The one I pictured above 👆🏻 is the Rifle Paper Co., another green polycarbonate one I bought from Burlington and the most expensive one the Kate Space case.

The Incipio one I had on my old iPhone XR I used it literally every day and it yellowed really bad. Same with all the Gabba Goods cases on my iPhone 7 red, I threw away the one with the rose gold frame as it got really gross.

This thing looks absolutely stunning. Consider switching to this one out of my frosted black ultra hybrid

Sorry accidentally forgot about your message.

It is completely understandable that an iPhone user can mistake the screen being broken if the screen protector shatters. Now on iPhones with Dynamic Island we don’t have cutouts on the screen protectors for the TrueDepth camera and notch anymore, just a sheet of glass that covers everything except the top speaker/microphone which is on the top of the screen. If you run your fingers on the edge of your iPhone or see dust go around the crack or the edge it has a screen protector on it.

You did visit an AASP recently for an iPhone screen replacement if I recall correctly, right?

Back on the 15 pro now?

Finally got bored of the 16e?
Returned to 15 Pro but only because I got a 256GB version brand new from amazon (last one they had in uk stock sold from themselves sealed) for the same price and was within the return period. Nothing wrong with the 16e and I actually really liked it, but for the same money it was a no brainer.
