That’s quite unfortunate. Why would the closed-bottom case snap off and crack around the USB-C port? It probably appears to be a sensitive and fragile area. I’ll keep that in mind.
I've seen a few cases do it. Its just an area where the case can be quite thin. My current case seems to be holding up better but if this one breaks then I'll just got back to open bottom cases.

Yea it’s common my past plastic cases I had for my iPhone 5s had been broken around the port.
