I've been eyeing that up. Would you happen to be able to share photos of said case?

TIA

I so far have bought most of the clear cases via the coupon codes from Slickdeals https://slickdeals.net/newsearch.php?q=Iphone+xr+case

I also bought the yellow one with black and white stripes. That one is better than I expected but I think it will scratch up and look like crap in a month. It is also slippery.

So far the ones I’ve liked on arrival were from VRS (soft TPU with vertical lines) and Ringke. I got a purple TPU case from Ringke, too.

I just got another coupon for VRS so I ordered their crystal clear heavy duty one.

And I got the yellow silicone and blue edged clear DTTO cases coming to me this week.

With the coupon codes I’m getting these $6-$15 phones under $3-$4 and mostly for $2 so I’ve been able to order more than I normally would and try brands I normally would not give a chance to. Spigen was my go-to brand for a couple of years but I have found fit and quality issues on enough of them that I view them below Ringke. I like Caseology a lot but I have had a real clunker of a clear case from them before.

Not sure if the link will work. It's an ESR 9H tempered glass back cover case. I had one on my X and it was very nice. I have an Apple leather case on my Max, which is the most I have ever spent on a case, but it seems worth the price (IMVHO).
I had been wondering about those. I was worried if any grit were to get in if it would cause scratching between the glass back of the case and the glass back of the phone. But I suppose that could happen in a polycarbonate case, too.

Same, I got the DTTO one for like 3$. Got it in and it seems like surprisingly good quality...the inside does have a weird kind of rough texture to it, but I read reviews for this model for previous iphones and didn't see anything bad about it so I'm sure it won't be a problem.

If you have any concerns about these cases possibly making marks on the case, there are PET film protectors that can go on the back glass. Supershieldz makes some. I tried tempered glass back glass protectors on my old X but it added a lot of weight to the phone. I just use the PET film to help protect from any stray grit or rubbery imprints from some cases.

Thanks for the photos. Do you happen to have a link where I can buy? I checked Burkley official store page and their Amazon/Etsy store front and all I could find was their 360 degree version, not the full leather like yours.

https://www.burkleycase.com/all-iphone-xr-cases/

I’ve been in contact with Burkley about this — they’re retooling the full leather version and it should be back on the store soon.

Originally, I got a clear case for my XR. I loved seeing the red--I still do. However, I missed the pocket I had on my previous iPhone case; I like putting my ID and debit card in it so I don't have to take a bag everywhere.

This case is on my phone right now. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H3NPWYM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It's functional and hides my stuff; I'll probably get something nicer later on but at the moment it does the trick (and still allows for wireless charging.)

I got my usual case. Speck presidio grip. It lasted three seconds. It just adds too much bulk. So I have a super thin clear ESR case.

But it give basically zero protection. I got the spigen clear case but it’s a finger print magnet so it lasted a while five minutes.

The spigen glitter case is better.

So if anyone knows of a slim, clear case that isn’t a finger print magnet, doesn’t feel like a bar of wet soap and actually offers some drop protection then please let me know.

I know I’m asking too much btw.

Way too much! Maybe if Apple ever releases their mythical clear case, we’ll all have a solution.

In all honesty I’d never buy an Apple case. They are pathetically expensive. I point blank refuse to pay £30 for a bit of plastic.

I do tend to buy a lot of cases though so I’m sure I’ll end up with a few in the rotation.

I use to spend far too much money on cases. Even so I could never find one that I really, really liked.

Then I caved in and bought an Apple silicone case. For me it was perfect. I also got an Apple leather case. The only leather case that I’ve found that is on par is the Mujjo leather.

Apple cases certainly aren’t cheap but then I haven’t found much better at whatever price.

I’ve got a nice leather Mujjo case for my XR. I’d also like a decent white silicone case to mix things up a bit. So far I’ve found absolutely nothing.

For this Black Friday, I picked up only 2 cases, Caubabe Sheath and Loopy Case Max. Got the Sheath for a thinner case with grip based on all the positive responses. Got the Loopy Cade out of curiosity from MobileReviews-Eh YouTube videos.

My current (and only) case is the Ringke Fusion from a slickdeal.

With the colors of the XR (I got the ProductRed), I prefer a clear case this time.. But in the end, not dropping the phone is more important.. :p

That said..the days of collecting cases is over for me (had too many for the 6Plus). Hopefully the Sheath and Loopy Case will satisfy what I want. :D

Totallee clear case. Slim, fits great, seems you’re rocking it naked.

I think this is the slimmest clear case I’ve ever used on a phone.

The best option for showing the colors and not adding bulk.

All clear cases I’ve researched ( ringke, spigen etc ) are way bulkier than this one.

Sorry. I was wrong they’re £45 not £30. Not sure if you’re in the UK or US but that’s around $60.

And they don’t cover the bottom. So even if I could bring myself to give Apple £45 for a bit of plastic I wouldn’t anyway because they don’t cover the bottom of the phone.

Yes, I’m in the UK.

I actually prefer cases that don’t cover the bottom, especially with the new iPhones without a home button. There’s a lot of swiping up from the bottom and having an edge at the bottom annoys me.

For a case to cover the whole phone, and be easy to take on/off, it has to be a bit loose around the sides. If loose around the sides then dirt and grit can get in, scratching the phone. If it’s tight then I’ve found them a devil to take off. In the past I’ve actually broken some cases trying to get the damn things off! With a gap at the bottom, like in the Apple cases, they are tight around the sides but the gap means you can easily pull them off.

I’ve had “open at the bottom” Apple cases since the iPhone 6. For my job I work outside. I also ski and paraglide. My phones get dropped and knocked about more than most. Not once has the bottom got damaged or the screen broken.

I could well have been lucky and I’m not knocking anyone for their choice of case. However, Apple cases work for me and when I’ve just spent £799 on a phone £45 on a case that I know will work for me doesn’t make much difference. Especially when I try and go through around 10 £10-ish cases trying to find one I like. And I have been there!

Be boring if we were all the same!

I have never liked cases open at the bottom so they're a no go from me to start. I don't mind paying for a case, I do mind apple gouging me. Which is what I feel them charging £45 for a tpu case is.

Plus I like to rotate cases to match my mood. So I'd never have just one case.

I got the Spigen Ultra Hybrid in black, on my black XR and I love it. It's not bulky at all, it looks very sleek and stealth. Almost looks like there's nothing on the back.

Also ordered a Caudabe Sheath, going to see which I like better.

Is it just me or everyone feels that the Apple leather cases are slick as grease. Boy! I tried the Apple Leather case for an iPhone 8 and it's really slippery. The leather case was in use for more than a year now, so it's definitely has to do with the case not been broken in. Maybe it's my hands, I don't know, but have been using Apple Silicone cases and I feel they are much better with regards to grip.

But for my Xr, I've already placed an order for both the Sena and Mujjo leather cases and I'm really starting to question my decision. Would all the leather cases have slippery feeling in general? Anyway this can be improved.
