My last two iPads were white so I decided to change it up and go with space grey this time.

I thought I'd like having a black one but the white one looks so much better with iOS 7. Should have got white

Silver... on black my worry was scratches ruining the back and showing up white aluminum

I asked for space grey at the store when I bought it, then the lady said "white?" and I said, no, black. And then 10 second later she said "you said white, right?" and I said, no, black. Then I got home, opened the box, and it was silver/white.

But, even though I've only had black devices from Apple except for one macbook, I decided to keep the silver iPad because:

Silver/white. I think it looks better with ios 7.

Same here, i am kind of regretting getting the black, the demo model in the store was white and i liked it more, its does look better with IOS 7, i just got black out of habit.

My original rMini was Silver/White like my iPhone 5. I returned it because of screen issues and my local Apple store only had a couple Space Gray ones in stock so I bought one. It turns out I like the Space gray much better on the rMini.

Same situation for me, only with Best Buy. The day they got them in, all they had in 32gb was Space Gray. I went in intending to purchase Silver/White, like my iPhone. But I found that I really like the Space Gray!

Still deciding! Like Silver/White for reading books and overall look, but like Gray/Black for videos.

My iPad 3 and iPhone 4S are black, but when my wife picked up an iPhone 5 in white, it grew on me. When I decided that my next iPad would be a Retina Mini, I opted for Silver with a black Smart case. It looks really great when I'm browsing this page for 10 minutes or more: http://www.marco.org/rmbp-irtest.html

Space gray.

Before the iPad Air came out I wanted the slate black but I really like the space gray too. I'm don't have a strong opinion on black vs white for the front but I figured black was at least a safe choice. I have a translucent gray cover for the back too so I can still appreciate the space gray while the cover is on :)

I went space grey. Since I have a silver iPhone I thought I would change it up and I love it.

Space Grey...white bezel distracts from the screen too much.

I have read this many times but on release day for the Air my local Sam's Club only had the white/silver so I bought it since I didn't want to wait for them to get the black/grey model. I have to say I absolutely love having the white ipad Air and don't find it distracting at all. I think it compliments the Air's screen perfectly.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have gotten the White/Silver, and let me tell you. Just amazing.

And damn, so lightweight. I held it in one hand for 20 mins without the slightest of fatigue.

We got a white Air and a black mini.

A few weeks ago we made the same color chces with iPhone 5S (because we both wanted the red leather cover but still wanted to be able to tell the phones apart). When we got the new iPads we decided to match our existing kit.

White always looks better in the store. However in the home, with warm lighting, the bezel looks like more of a yellowish cream color (it reflects the type of light you're in). It's not a good look. If you mostly use your ipad outside or during the day it's fine.

I had white last time, did black this time. Much better for watching podcasts etc.

White looks so much nicer. Pretty much all electronics are black plastic, the white apple products have always looked the nicest and most unique.

I wish wood were an option, but between white and black white is the way to go. And yea shows less fingerprints.
