I have the old blue one. I think the new blues are a bit too feminine.

Blue Velvet, wheres the guy in your pic?!?!

My iPod mini was the my first Apple product ever. I got a Silver one to coordinate with the Powerbook that I am saving for to replace my current pc notebook. What a dork I am!

I swear there is something they pump in the air in those Apple stores that hypnotizes you and makes you want to BUY! BUY! BUY! everything in the darn store.

I got a silver one to match my PB. I know I am never going to get tired of that color, imagine you buy a green one, or a pink and you stop liking it? What do you do? Buy another iPod?
Also silver is so... generic? simple? It is... silver, it isn't feminine (I agree the new blue one is), it is not masculine, or a loud color (do you actually say that??; in spanish when a color is like that, very bright, we say it is 'chillón', which means screaming, as if the color screamed at you...:p)
That's because I like silver in iPods and cars! ;)

PS:Sorry for the spanish lesson...

PS (II): I bought an iSkin protector for the iPod mini (the one that glows in the dark :D) and after several uses, the silicone will eventually start to crack (mine hasn't, but to insert the iPod mini you have to stretch it into the case, and it doesn't seem good for the silicone to fatigate so much)

I agree on the skin. Didn't like mine for my 3G iPod.
My 1G Green Mini is lovely color. I don't think I'll ever get bored of it! It's quite subtle too, not "screaming"!

P.S. The iPod socks really aren't as bad as people think - I think they work really well!

there's no blue and orange option... :( ... why not candy striped? polka dotted? and what about apple pattern or something equally wacky all the fashion brands are doing it :D (eg the weird apple louis vuitton)

It could happen! Remember the "Flower Power" and "Blue Dalmation" iMacs?

I wish I had gotten a green one to match my iMac, but I still love my silver one

I like the silver. I think it's the most classy like the regular iPod and the Apple computers. IMO, theo ther colors are too bold, and while they are suitable for some people, I like the neutral color.
