On Pre-Order night, chances are that the all black iPhone will sell out first since it blends in so well with the OLED display. Not to mention, the limited amount of phones this year.

So which model will you be getting? I really like the black design, however, I might go for the silver (which I also really like) just to get it a bit faster.

I would never compromise on the model I wanted to get a few days faster, especially when spending so much on an iPhone. If the rumours are true then all Edition models may ship later. Besides, Apple knows the popularity of black vs white models from past iPhones and will inevitably target production to meet that mix

No compromise. I like it.

Get what you want and don't settle. Even if it means waiting a while.

Too many people don't understand that and become miserable as a result.

if the bezel is black on all models then I will get sliver... If not then I will get all black. no way would I buy a white bezel on that phone, even if I have to wait months.

For me, ultimately it comes down to the price. But, if the price is not too outrageous, I will go for all black and minimum 128GB of storage.

For me, A color is nothing more than a superficial cosmetic feature that wears off. And if that means I can have the iPhone I want sooner because my initial choice is back ordered, I would gladly look at other options. I want the iPhone 8 for the experience and technology, the color is the last consideration I personally am not concerned with.

Will go for Black first, if I am able to order it then cool, otherwise I'll go for Silver or Gold.

It's not silver this year, it's white, right? Glass back, like the iPhone 4/4S.

I refer you to our past discussions regarding the physical form factor of a device and my attraction to it (or not) as it applies to that device and the length of time I typically experience before upgrading.

Color is another factor in that for me.

As I mentioned in a different thread above, since Space Gray is as close as I can get to black with the 6 series phones that is what I have. But if Apple had given me the choice…I would have black.

Space grey is sooo bad (factual comment). They redeemed themselves with 2 shades of black for the iPhone 7, but the dark days of round ugly iPhone 6, with antennae bands on the back, and the dark silver shade they call Space grey. Makes me shudder, even today.

I wonder if the Blush Gold iPhone will have a white or black front. I really like the colour based on what we've seen so far, it may look different when Apple announce next week.

Yeah, I totally agree.

Personally, I believe (no proof) that black (both matte and jet) was brought back as a color to goose sales. Other than a fuglier camera bump and relocated antenna lines on the outside and internal improvements there's not much of a difference between the 6/6+/6s/6s+ and the 7/7+. Without the black color option(s) I'm not sure as many people would have bought the 7/7+ as did.

Yeah I think it's pretty obvious it's because it wasn't much of a redesign.

It appears clear to me by looking at the sides (the shade of the blush gold, etc) that it is not a dark gold option, it is simply a more vibrant shade of gold. The rose gold was more pale, but it's basically the same color, just more intense. Therefore should still be white. If it was darker, I could see it being black, but it's relatively similar.
