I'm really counting on it being the iPhone 8, not Edition or Pro. Edition reminds me of that stupid Watch Edition that was crazy money and more luxury. This needs to be the main iPhone everyone will get this year, not some novelty device. I know it's an S year, but history can be rewritten and easily release the 7S and 7S Plus, plus a phone named the 8. I'll be disappointed if it's called Edition or Anniversary or Pro. Just call it the 8. That's what we've been calling it until these recent rumors. I'm going to refer to it as the 8 regardless what they call it, cause I'm a rebel. :p But yeah, I'm betting 8.

The Apple Watch still has an Edition it's the Ceramic Edition and it costs £1,299 it looks really good but Apple will more than likely add a new Apple Watch Edition at the event alongside the new Apple Watches. The Edition makes sense due to it's OLED screen, glass back and so on, also the price is going to be higher than the 7s and 7s Plus (it's rumoured to start at around $999).

What else makes it so edition though? So far, it's just the OLED. The 7S will have the same exact design, minus the larger screen.

3D facial recognition, AR features within the camera, glass back with wireless charging and probably more that we don't know about.

The 7s won't have OLED, it won't have the 3D facial recognition (it will still use Touch ID) so it won't have that edge to edge display either.

I watch far too many videos to have something else instead of black front.
As for storage, a step higher than 64GB.

Same thing that makes the iPad Pro a „Pro“. The price ;)

See I get that. Additional features makes it more "Pro". Especially "specs" like 3D camera and OLED. But do those same features make it more "Edition"? I think not. Just my opinion.

Wireless charging will be on both as well. Maybe it's a stretch for me, I guess I can see the facial unlock being something worthy of an "Edition" moniker. Other than that though, definitely not. AR features will be available on every phone, but maybe specific ones withheld for the Edition. Once again, not worth the name.

White if all front panels are black. (Unlikely) otherwise I’ll be going black. 256gb.

Any color as long as it has white front
Ouch you'll be getting the 8 then
[doublepost=1504841372][/doublepost]
Copper and White will definitely have white face.
They sure will, on the iPhone 8. That pesky iPhone X will only have a black front though. Remember? Shucks. Sorry.

Aside from facial recognition and the OLED display, we don't know what other technologies will be incorporated into the 5.8 iPhone. It could have other unannounced features like Tru-Tone, a Promotion display, enhanced camera capabilities, ect.

Yea i think certain things will be exclusive to the Edition, OLED is one of them so is the 3D facial recognition system. I would love to see it made out of Ceramic but i don't think that will happen. Rumours have said that the 8 will have a glass back but a stainless steel frame surrounding it not sure if that's true or not. I'm looking forward to the announcement on Tuesday :D i think the iPhone 8/Edition is going to be a BIG upgrade.

There is going to be a lot of technology incorporated into this new iPhone, which makes me wonder if this Keynote will be extended in time based on how much they will explain (Aside from the Apple Watch And Apple TV). Also, there will be a lot of unannounced little features that will surface once tech reviewers have more hands on with the device with the workshop after the event has concluded. These next two weeks will be explosive.

What could happen is Tim might not talk about updates (sales, store updates and so on) when he first appears on stage, they might go straight to Apple TV, Apple Watch updates and then iPhone, following on from that they might include new iPhone software specific features (within IOS that we advent seen yet).
To round off Tim might give an update on the HomePod and or announce new features for the HomePod that work and tie in with the new iPhone's. A live band at the end to round off maybe?

I Don't see the HomePod having a lot of exclusivity to this specific keynote. They might touch on it somewhat, but overall, they will discuss the new campus/theater, Apple Watch is an incremental update with perhaps casing colors and LTE, AppleTV, and then the iPhone will Lead out the event. And I also do not see Apple touching on sales numbers or any specific data in that respect, besides commenting on how well the iPhone sells.

I'm curious to see more hands-on with the workshops and once the tech reviewers can demo the iPhone in live time. And of course Apple will demo theirs as well.

What's interesting is that Apple Watch Edition (Ceramic) is unavailable here in the UK on Apple's website! this could get an update, i think if Apple call the iPhone 8 the Edition it will be interesting to see how they do it compared to the Apple Watch Edition. The iPhone's will probably take up most the keynote with the iPhone Edition/8 being the biggest update, i'm sure they will want to talk about the OLED screen, it's resolution (be interesting to see what resolution they go with) the 3D facial recognition will probably get a demo (it will probably be an awesome demo :D) and maybe some AR features demoed as well?

Also with it being held for the first time ever at the Steve Jobs theatre/the new campus i wonder if they will throw in a surprise (probably not).

Apparently the Hermes Edition is also sold out. Curious to see where this leads, but it has happened before where Apple has limited or no stock of a certain item before launch.

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/sold-out-for-hermes-edition.2065269/

That's interesting, it looks like they will update the Edition and the Hermes as well, I wonder what the new materials will be for the Edition last year it was Cermaic the year before that was the 24karat Gold. In regards the iPhone's I wonder how Apple will implement wireless charging, they haven't been a fan of it in the past, it will be interesting to see what sort of wireless charger they will use. I have a feeling this is going to be one of the biggest keynotes, it could be why they updated a lot of things in June to make way for this September event in order to spend more time than usual on the new iPhones.

I could see them making one out of titanium at some point.

I'll have to see what the storage options are. I really hope for $1000 you get 128gb, but I'm not holding my breath. 64gb isn't enough for me.
