That keyboard seems okay but I have two comments about it.
  1. The "Wireless" rather than Bluetooth feature would make me buy the newer version. I would not want to tie up a USB port with a dongle for my keyboard setup.
  2. Does that trackpad provide proper multitouch functionality like an Apple Magic Trackpad? If not, you would miss a large part of the OS X GUI experience. :apple:

To answer myself: the Logitech Illuminated Living-Room Wireless Keyboard K830 and Touchpad for Internet-Connected TVs (920-006081) looks good so far with good reviews and a reasonable price.
@Celerondon

You are right! I should have linked to the new version of the keyboard on Amazon - which is not more expensive than the old one and have the same raving reviews:

As for multi-touch capabilities, all I know is what Logitech claims on its product page: https://secure.logitech.com/en-us/product/living-room-keyboard-k830

Right, like many other keyboards it should work fine with a Mac. The fact that they are not boasting of OS X or Mac compatibility makes me doubt that it has a complete touch feature set. If you get one let us know how it does.

I like the rechargeable feature on that Logitech keyboard. I use the Apple BT keyboard and Magic Trackpad (MT). The MT has a marvelous and intuitive feel with OS X. They both are great for me but changing batteries is a minor chore. I use rechargeable batteriess and they last a month or more between charges. :apple:
