Holding a Note3 to your head, or talking into the Galaxy Gear watch/ communicator.

I think I'd actually rather talk into my watch than a Phablet.....

I happen to like the Galaxy Gear and the Note III

I too find the Note III a very nice phone.

The level of functionality & efficiency is so much higher than my iPhone 5, it puts Apple to shame. For my loyalty to Apple I end up watching them place more focus on law suits than creating new tech. Perhaps their love of revenge will fade and they'll get back to business in 2014 or 2015. I've been a good customer for too long to give up on them just yet.

I don't even hold my iPhone 5 to my ear since is much wiser to use a Bluetooth Earpiece. Yet for those who don't mind the radiation exposure, I do see them throwing caution to the wind. It's a personal decision.

Well I have big chunky man hands (for strangling Badgers). So a phone needs to be at least 5 inches to not get lost in my hands.

Does holding the Note 2 to your head look silly? To you, maybe, but I've seen enough of them, and I own one, to be conditioned that it doesn't look silly.

Point being, the Note 3 is pretty much the same size as the Note 2 (ever so slightly taller) that it'll look exactly the same.

I agree...what a silly and pointless thread.

What looks really silly is people having to hold their iPhone up to their face when they're reading or surfing the web :D

What did badgers ever do to you?? MURDERER! or pervert, not sure

lol anyway, neither of them look ridiculous to me. If I had to choose I'd say the watch - it would be a little weird to see someone do that I guess.

Which looks more ridiculous ?

I think the note is pushing the limit though. I understand some people have big hands but for the majority holding the note to your ear does look odd unless your lebron James lol. If you put a case on the note it just looks even bigger. Like Zachary Morris big phone big.

And yes taking pics with the ipad is kinda silly too. Saw it everywhere in Vegas recently. Smh cuz these people had iPhones too, like wtf

Not nearly as ridiculous as these: (Xperia Z Ultra and Galaxy Mega 6.3)

They may be very capable devices but I'm sorry, you invite ridicule holding either of these up to your ear for a phone call.

Thats a huawei ascend mate not a galaxy mega on the right. It also looks like it running a knockoff iOS launcher.

It might actually be an ipad mini looking at it more closely. The label of the image says huawei ascend mate though.

Edit: Its definitely an ipad mini. You can see the circular home button.

What's wrong with you people?!? The Note line of phones do not look silly when used on the ear, I kind of like how they look.

That second one is an iPad mini in the pic, not a mega. :D

I personally have heard many iphone owners say they are interested in something the size of the note. People I never would have expected. Theres a big market for it and samsung has proved it with the sales of the previous note series exceeding market expectations by a huge margin.

Sorry, just whipped it together from a quick Google image search. Here's a more appropriate picture for the Mega. Certainly not as bad but, IMO, still pretty damn big.

Yep, nice try - the one in your right picture is indeed an iPad mini :D

Yup, admit my error, wasn't trolling just like I said, quickly picked a photo from a quick Google image search.

Here's the original article the wrong image was pulled from, was actually about the Galaxy Mega, my fault for not looking at it more closely.

And thought I'd see you ChazUK, know you were a fan of the Mega. ;) Certainly seems like a capable device, just much larger than anything I'd want to hold to my head for calls.
