I shall through a comparison into the mixture here, I run a 2010 C2D MBP, this was connected to a Samsung B2430 24" Screen at 1980 by 1080, I could run video at HD quality no problem.

Do not forget the newer Intel processors have GPU's integrated into the processor.

Watching video might be fine but playing games will probably be significantly better with a dedicated separate GPU like the AMD Radeon 6630M.

It could merely mean 5.1 audio. Not necessarily HD. Though if it aderes to the same specs as other Radeon cards and apple hasn't gimped it in any way then it should work.

True but then I can't even get 5.1 surround sound with my current Mini so I would be happy with just that. HD audio is not a priority for me as I only watch retail bought Blue Rays through my PS3. That supports the various HD formats anyway. Getting 5.1 surround sound in games is more important.

Got my new Mini today, stock configuration with the 6630m graphics. I'm really pleased, just migrated the stuff from my C2D iMac and the performance of the Mini is a pleasant surprise. No more reflections of my gorgeous features  now I am linked up to a 24" matte screen - phew! one happy bunny, thank you Apple.

Out of interest how easy was the migration and what did you require. Did you need to use the iMac's display as well as the one that the Mac Mini was connected to along with a keyboard and mouse for both. The reason I ask is how it would to migrate from an older Mac Mini to the new one.

Time Machine backup from external HD - simple. I also have one of those ClickFree devices.
