Glad to hear it!

To those just now getting your 4 GB 2.26, I posted a while back that I think you would be happy with the results.

I have had mine for about 5 weeks now-I ordered the day they were announced so whenever it got here-seems like March 4th or something...

There is an AMAZING difference between my new mini and my "old" 20 C2D with 3GB RAM when it comes to video playback (and even games :) ).

The value of the 9400 can't be understated!

The main problem, as I understand it it, is that XBMC-based applications like XBMC, Plex, Boxee, etc currently have no way of utilising the 9400M at all, so there is no gpu-acceleration taking place, only the CPU being used for video-playback.
If there could only be a way for the GPU to be used for H.264 playback (as is the case for the VD-PAU builds of the Linux version of XBMC) then the mini would be able to play back the hardest 1080P movies with minimal CPU usage.
But there doesn't seem to be any sign of that happening for OS X in the near future..... unless OpenCL in Snow Leopard somehow manages to add this functionality on a systemwide basis (which, of course, would be fantastic).
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

FAWC, I ended up getting a 2009 2.0GHz mini with standard 2Gb RAM. So far, the only 1080p videos I've played on it have been Apple movie trailers, and it's performed flawlessly (occasional streaming issues aside, but that's down to my crappy ISP).

I was particularly happy that it defaulted to 1080p output from the very first power-on

my Mac Mini is a Core Duo 1.66Ghz. struggles to play back 1080 with VLC - never tried Plex.
