Received the wireless adapter today and got it installed. 5ghz wireless is bliss! Plug and play with high sierra. Transferring the wifes 10,000 music files over to her mac pro now.

Got an offer of the following specs:

MP5,1
2.8GHz single quad-core
8GB RAM
ATI 5770
1TB HDD
built-in WiFi

Price around $413 after conversion. Reasonable...?

I think so. I paid $380 shipped for my MP4,1 with 2.6ghz, 6gb ram, ATI 4870 and 3TB HDD. I added the wifi card and updated the machine to a 5,1 myself. I have $400 into it now.

Just keep an eye on that ole 8800gt. If you read through the forum you will see where heat is not a friend of it. Years ago when I had an 8800gt in my 3,1 I placed this fan to blow across it and the entire PCIe section. The 8800gt never failed but I replaced it with a Quadro 4000 Mac several years ago

where is this fan pulling power from? the titan uses both the power supply from the mother board.. also what model fan is this? I'd like to try this out. thank you.
