Maybe those bashing Fusion Drives so hard don't understand that the files you are actively working with are migrated to -- you guessed it -- an SS inside your Mac.
...But the SSD portion isn't big enough; you have ZERO control over this; you can't really confirm this; that's not exactly how it works anyway.
I mean if you're gonna go ahead and tell me that:
- You're so prosumer that you have 2TB of files you NEED to work on day to day.
- Yet at the same time don't understand that a 2TB HDD at capacity isn't good
- And also at the same time tell me that you're incapable of grading items based on best storage for them
- And also tell me that you're incapable of grabbing a couple gigs of video files off an external HDD for when you wanna edit a video of them (example)
.... then ok.
But don't turn around and spread the 'wisdom' that it's a good idea to: insert a known-slow device into a completely closed computer in 2019; something you have zero control over; expecting it to work well for number of years.
We have facts, you have "it works well for me!".
