Maybe those bashing Fusion Drives so hard don't understand that the files you are actively working with are migrated to -- you guessed it -- an SS inside your Mac.

...But the SSD portion isn't big enough; you have ZERO control over this; you can't really confirm this; that's not exactly how it works anyway.

I mean if you're gonna go ahead and tell me that:
  1. You're so prosumer that you have 2TB of files you NEED to work on day to day.
  2. Yet at the same time don't understand that a 2TB HDD at capacity isn't good
  3. And also at the same time tell me that you're incapable of grading items based on best storage for them
  4. And also tell me that you're incapable of grabbing a couple gigs of video files off an external HDD for when you wanna edit a video of them (example)

.... then ok.

But don't turn around and spread the 'wisdom' that it's a good idea to: insert a known-slow device into a completely closed computer in 2019; something you have zero control over; expecting it to work well for number of years.

We have facts, you have "it works well for me!".

Wow man. You ok? It kind of doesn't sound like it.

Sounds like what you have are opinions, my friend, and rather rudely presented at that! Did you see the part where I said "Obviously an SSD of the size you need is better than a Fusion Drive if you can afford it."? Because it sort of seems like you didn't. And if you're getting this thoroughly wound up about a forum post about storage devices you disagree with... well, maybe get outside more.
