I walk into the Chevy dealer and ask the salesman, should I buy a Chevy or ford?
Whatdo you think the answer will be?
I have always wanted a Mac however, windows 7 isn't too bad...
Is the Mac Mini a worthwhile buy? A fast mini PC?
Was thinking of getting a triple core AMD and 4gig ram etc. Would the Mac Mini be a nippy PC?
Thanks. Never used a Mac so very nervous about getting one!
Used to 3ghz CPU's too!! Just wondering if the 2Ghz Mac will be noticeably slower!
Looking at that spec, the Mac Mini is not too far behind!! I would have gone for the Mac Mini rather than the spec you built. Otherwise a much more powerful spec could have been chosen.
Could I do this with the Mini? I don't need/want a MacBook as I already have a netbook and laptop which I like.

Good for you!
I'm loving the Mini, although I have already filled up the pathetic hard drive and 1gb ram just isn't enough
Sooo, i'm going to have to buy 4gb ram and a bigger hard drive (still undecided between 500gb WD Scorpio Blue or Seagate Momentus 7200.4 500gb or the 320gb WD Scorpio Black), but after these upgrades i'm sure it'll be lightning fast.
ATM it takes ages and kinda hangs when opening iPhoto or anything intensive, but it still manages Firefox, downloads, MSN, Mail, iTunes etc really easily. I'm pleased with it, and glad I bought this over the Dell, and I hope you enjoy your purchase, but just have £50 set aside for some more ram!
Wow, there's a stellar review of Microsoft's latest and greatest: "not too bad!"
Of course "not too bad" has the Windows fans doing cartwheels of joy based on what they've been subjected to before. "Windows 7: Sucks less!"
MS has been incredibly successful over the years at lowering consumer expectations to "mediocrity is good enough for me." And that's sad.
Get the Mac. Don't look back.
