Wait till IM+ drops to a whopping US $0.99 then go buy it
then buy Beejive afterwards

I dont think it will ever drop to .99 again.

After using both they seem almost the same as far as functionality. At this point Beejive has had one update since push, IM+ is still waiting on its update to be approved for it's few fixes. Beejive was a clear winner before, but IM+ is gaining lots of ground.

I hope Beejive adds some more features, the only thing they mention on deck is group chat.

IM+ now on sale for 4.99. At this price does it seem like the better pick?

beejive looks better, but is that really important? aslong as they both work, and they do

but IM+ lets you stay log in for 3 days

beejive will only let you stay log in for 24 hours after you close the app

you decide

Are you seriously not going to use IM for 3 full days? It seems so silly to me when people tout that as a benefit.

Some use IM for bussines, to be connected for 3 days straight with push is a plus. To not miss any live messages

I bought IM+, actually i'm having trouble getting connected. Some times it crash.

i'm not happy with this app. im thinking of buying Beejive..

Recommended?

Definitely recommended.

I bought IM+ first and thought I was satisfied but Beejive is significantly better as far as I can tell. I've had none of the bugs that have been discussed earlier and I think it looks way better.

The only thing IM+ has the advantage on is the integration of Twitter but I really enjoy using Tweetie so it doesn't mean much to me.

so no connection problems?

Is it just me that gets this on the IM+ or is it a common problem?

It's just you. I have them both and prefer IM+. I even uninstalled the other one from my iPhone the other day. :)

I purchased Beejive. It keeps disconnecting me every few hours. And at the moment it won´t let me even sign in. Now that´s quality for the money!

Did you check the session timeout of the app on settings?

I´ve tried to find this, but no luck. All I see is these in the "More" section:

List Buddies By Account
List Buddies By Group
Support
About Beejive IM
Set Wallpaper

But that´s now the least of my problems. I haven´t been able to log in now for several hours, yesterday and before it logged in just fine.

It's not in the "More" section of Beejive, I'm referring to the "Settings" of your iPhone (where you find General, About, Usage etc...)

Go scroll down and you should find Beejive listed under the Applications, then find the Session timeout and set it to 24 hours.

Ah, of course! I totally forgot that the settings would be in the iPhone settings. Yeah it was set to 1 hour, kinda weird default setting.

Anyway if I could just get logged in now, I´ve been trying for 6 hours already. This NEVER happened with Fring which is a FREE app!

Email...the....developers.

Now after 10 hours I finally get to sign in, but now the Push isn´t working correctly. Several times I opened the app and noticed my friend had posted messages, that didn´t "push" to my iPhone. And several times I heard the "push sound", but no message came to the screen like normally.

Man, these Beejive makers are starting to seem like bunch of freaking amateurs! And they are ripping people off!!!

My push is working flawlessly, they might have variable, isolated cases.

I bought IM+ I'd be absolutely in love if it were not for the constant crashing... I rarely get any tweets, whether they be @ or timeline. I've emailed the developers twice so currently waiting for a reply that isn't automated. I've read that quite a few people are having the same problem and that the next update is waiting to be approved, I'm hoping that this will sort out the problems that I have.

BeeJiveIM - $9.99
IM+ - $4.99

They both do the same thing, get IM+ and save $5. That's what I have. Who cares who's interface is better. IM+ interface does NOT look bad at all.

I'll sticking with IM+, and I have NO problems, whatsoever.
