My final thought: In a busy forum it's rude to not do the minimum amount of work yourself, especially when the answer you get probably won't even keep you from having to do that work yourself anyways. This has come up before in other threads and there is no point in telling someone to just Google for an answer. It’s conversational to ask questions. No matter how silly or inane one might think they are, telling them to just look it up for themselves is patronizing and kinda rude, IMO. Anyone who has found themselves here are well aware the power of Google lays at their fingertips.
All that being said, The Night Manager is a great adaptation and further evidence that limited series are the best way to adapt a book faithfully.
If there had been a joke, a comment, anything "social" also in his post, then it wouldn't have bothered anyone; but simply posting "...on?" isn't conversational, nor will it lead to an answer useful to the poster or the community.
That's where I find the rudeness.
