Such an interesting series. What did you think of the ending (feel free to wrap in spoiler tags)?

I finished the series yesterday night. I think it's the third or fourth time that I watch it in its entirety, next weekend I will start re-watching each episode with the commentary. I also have to watch Fire Walk With Me again.

No spoilers. I think that the ending was great, albeit totally crazy. The only downside is that it was imitated up to the point that it's a cliche for today's world. I have no idea how David Lynch can create a new story from what I have seen in the original Twin Peaks, but I trust in his storytelling abilities.

As a whole, watching Twin Peaks again, as a grown up with family and a different set of experiences behind me, was a very good experience. The series goes deep into the nature of human interactions and events. It brings out several questions, and many opportunities for introspection. The only downfall is that the series is obviously dated; the "shocking factor" is not that shocking anymore in the age of LiveLeaks.

I also bought Mark Frost's "The Secret History of Twin Peaks," an amazing book about Twin Peaks; it's not a novel but a fake collection of articles and reports on the fictional town. I skimmed its pages and I can't wait to begin reading it as soon as I finish what I am reading now.

All in all, it is always great to be back in Twin Peaks and I can't wait to see the new episodes. I am sure that my eyes will be teary, and my heart will be pounding fast. Twin Peaks is the only series that I truly love, as I fell in love with its characters and locations.

Until then, I need some coffee and cherry pie.

Just stumbled into iZombie on Netflix. I find the lead girl, zombie, drives the same car I have. The storyline is interesting to me as well.

We finally started Veep - holy ****, it's immediately as good as I hoped it would be (my hope backed by multiple awards, JLD who we love).

I've had somewhat mixed feelings about the Showtime series Billions. With stars like Paul Giamatti; Damian Lewis; and Maggie Schiff I had high hopes. But for the most part the storylines seem implausible, if not to say totally absurd. By the end of the first season most of the people in Giamatti's US Attorney's offce seemed to have disappeared into the woodwork. The family of hedge-fund owner Bobby Axelrod seemed to be darting in all sorts of different directions without going anywhere. (Apparently he has a brother-in-law; some mysterious bad deed in his past; and a wife who was opening a restaurant, and if now planning some other distraction. Who cares?)

That said, Season Two introduces a truly fascinating new character in the form of Taylor - a "gender non-conforming" intern at Axe Capital. Played by Orange Is The New Black alum Asia Kate Dillion (she played a racist skin-head) Taylor is - I believe - the first such character ever to appear in a mainstream US TV show. In the scenes Taylor has been in so far, "they" (the preferred pronoun) has been portrayed as brilliant, fascinating, and different - without being a freak. A surprisingly nuanced and sensitive performance and role.

I don't know where the show is going to take Taylor this season. But I applaud Showtime and the show-runners for introducing such a character in such a sensitive and thought-provoking role. I'll be honest and say I know virtually nothing about what life as a "gender non-conforming" person would be like, and I don't know that any fictional TV show can really give you a true picture. But its a start, and a very timely one at that.

My wife just started us on Greys Anatomy. She used to watch it all the time and I've never seen it. We're onto season two now.

"Star Trek: Voyager"

I haven't actually seen any Star Trek series before, but I skipped to Voyager because a friend recommended it and one of my favorite screenwriters (Bryan Fuller) started becoming heavily involved in the production of this series.

Plus, hey, it's Red:

That's an odd recommendation. Many of us consider that series to be the worst of all the Trek series.

Yeah, it's been off to a rocky start. Bryan Fuller's writing credits don't start showing up until later, so I'll give it time.

So far, all of the episodes are in the format of "Hey, we found an excess of [unobtanium] particles, so let's go investigate!" "Oh, no, the [unobtanium] is somehow keeping us here!" "We have to go to [location] and shoot a laser at it to free ourselves!" "We did it! Weee!" Roll credits.

As far as Star Trek goes, you might want to go with The Next Generation (TNG) as one of the ones to start out with. It's a bit more dated than Voyager, and it's not really related to Bryan Fuller, but it's generally one of the all-around better Star Trek series in many ways.

Yeah the series as a whole was mediocre at best. There are a few gems in there that I will rewatch.

I was going to start Black Books but I'm too tired to stay awake. I did start and finish Vicious last Sunday. Incredibly hilarious. I caught myself running out of breath a few times because I laughed so hard. It's fresh and to the point. Brilliant stuff. Shame it was only 2 series.

Started season 1 of 'Red Rock', an Irish police series. Any opinions?
I've seen a few episodes. It's your typical multi-generational family saga. Enjoyable if you're into that type of thing, otherwise it's riff raff for those who don't.

Slowly making my way through Black Mirror (each episode feels like a marathon and takes a while to process), and waiting for Master of None season 2. Then Doctor Who is back in April!

I also just hit season 3 of this one. I've watched a lot of random episodes over the years, and now decided to go with it from the start. It was that or DS9, and I had fond memories of VOY, sooo...

While I do enjoy most of the show (Hey, it's Star Trek!), I must admit that it isn't as good as I remember it. I had a memory of it being more of TNG, but with another crew, but in most cases the episodes are not nearly as deep as they are in TNG and most of the characters just don't develop at all. Coming straight from binge watching ENT, I must say that the latter is actually a better show, so VOY gets my second lowest overall Trek rating (I am not a big fan of TOS, which I binged after ENT). Would have loved to see a full blown VOY movie though! But speaking of VOY, I see that Kez is missing in that picture.. Interesting.. Can't recall her leaving the show, and she is so far one of the best main characters!

But based on my writing, and the comments above, I also whole heartedly recommend you watch TNG instead.

Just got up to date on Designated Survivor. Typical network thriller but actually pretty good!

Watched two episodes of 'Iron Fist' from Marvel, being a fan of Marvel was hoping it would be good, sadly disappointed in it.
