Late to it… but I am enjoying a binge of:

American Gods.

Some bits are better than others (Czernobog is just vile), but Season 1 so far (Episode 5) is great.

Unfortunately I have not heard much good about Season 2…

Giving 'Mystery Road' a whirl. It has Judy Davis and Aaron Pedersen as two police officers in the Australian outback. So far, it is worth watching.

Just finished both seasons of The OA. I thought it was amazing! Will be hard to wait for next season. Now watching Legacies - better than I expected. I had watched TVD and The Originals and loved them. I’m no teenybopper by a very long way so I guess I’m just strange.

It was almost three years between the first two season to boot!

Just finished season two of Sabrina Teen Witch on Netflix. Not to bad, liked season one more, but still it was good. Up next is the OA. I know there has been a lot of talk on it, so it is next. I have two more shows coming next week that we can't wait for, GOT and Bosch. So this should fit right into our schedule nicely.

I'm all caught up on Star Trek: Discovery now, which means I'm all set to join the rest of the fandom wondering why beardy Spock is even a character in it. :p It's unfortunate that, between Star Trek and American Gods, Bryan Fuller went with delaying Star Trek for AG production and then ultimately abandoned Discovery anyway for AG; it doesn't seem like the studio was interested in actively hiring writers after Fuller left, so there's an awkward change after the first two episodes, after which the show's dull spaces are quite dull and full of actors making uncomfortable faces.

Still, though, there have been a lot of great episodes, some genuinely astounding moments of wondrousness, and I'll be following the rest of season 2 as it unfolds.

Just finished the HBO miniseries Generation Kill (2008). The BD been sitting in my shelf for ages, and somehow I just didn't get to watching it until starting it yesterday. I'm glad I finally did. Based on the book Generation Kill the show was adapted for television by David Simon, Ed Burns and Evan Wright (the author of the book). Simon and Burns are known for among other things the TV show The Wire, and being a huge fan of it, if memory serves that was reason I bought this in the first place.

The story is based on series of articles that were born as a result of a reporter, Evan Wright, being embedded within the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion of the USMC during the 2003 invasion of Iraq. The characters are real people, obviously played by (mostly very talented) actors, and apparently a few guys that were actually present during the events even play themselves, or acted in an advisory capacity.

Really great writing and acting, highly recommended if the subject matter is of interest.

Currently watching The Enemy Within. I can't say it's very good. I get a strong Blacklist vibe from it, and I didn't think that show was any good either.

From the beginning? One of my favorite shows. If you get the chance and like reading, the books are great. I finished book 12 and will be starting book 13 next.

I got vetoed on the OA next, Lucifer season 4 dropped on Netflix... So that is what we are currently watching.

Yep, we just finished the third episode last night. So far, I'm really liking it.
