I've also noticed one nice thing about Simply Tweet. If you haven't read twitter in 6 hours or so, whatever, it loads ALL your missed tweets since the last time you read. Not just 200 or 50 or whatever limit the other apps have. Very nice touch.

i like this feature, too! with the others, when i was playing around with them.... i would lose out on a lot of tweets... the other day with simplytweet... i had been away a couple days and came back to 888 tweets! tweets i would have had to read later on the computer which i never would have done!

What do you guys have against TwitterFon? I'm still happy with an old version without ads. I tried Tweetie for a bit, but ended up deleting it because it didn't load enough Tweets on launch and it didn't indicate which ones I had already read. One feature I would like is the ability to group the people I follow by subject. I think TweetDeck offers this, but I'm not sure about SimplyTweet.

Twittelator plus Boxcar equals killer-app's. Twittelator doublechecks that you want to post the tweet, which is a great feature. Now I never have any spelling mistakes because I doublecheck everything!

what's the difference in simplytweet lite and the full version?

Before I buy it, I thought I'd check out the lite version.

Haven't heard of Simply Tweet, curious to see what that's all about, so thanks! Right now I'm a big fan and agree with djdavidgallant, Twittelator plus Boxcar makes for a perfect combination.

I've tried Tweet Deck a few times now, just recently, and have had nothing but problems and crashes. App will usually load up just fine, but as soon as I switch to another screen it just stops for a brief second and takes me back to my home screen. Had to delete it.

Tweetie is my app of choice right now though as it handles multiple accounts flawlessly. I can live without the landscape mode even though I've heard peeps complaining about it.

Does Simply Tweet allow for multiple accounts?

Yes it does. It is a great app.

It goes to show you how quickly iPhone Twitter apps are progressing. One of Yesterday's hottest iPhone Twitter apps becomes old news unless it's refreshed often.

I think the large part of TwitterFon's demise, at least the free version, is the dated interface.

Tweetie has a landscape mode.

I have been using landscape mode a lot. I have found I can really type fast in landscape.

I have:

- Twitterrific
- Tweetie
- Twittelator
- SimplyTweet

And i think SimplyTweet is the best because it has push + pic search and more..

I don't get the fascination w/Tweetie. I started off w/TwitterFon, switched to Twitterific, and finally bought Tweetie. It's been a disappointment. Doesn't show new tweets, doesn't show full conversations, doesn't notify you of DM's, doesn't show the # of following/followers. It also has all kinds of little bugs. For example, at least three people I follow have changed their avatars, yet Tweetie still has the old ones. The search function is nice, but that's about it.

I've heard great things about Twitterlator Pro. Might give that a shot next.
